This is a great place to practice our photography. Especially when the sun is setting. With the perfect angle, we can capture the most beautiful views. It's also dog friendly and connected to some trails leading to Cherry Creek state park. And it's free! They maintain it well and I'm glad the people that frequent here treat it as the historical landmark it is.

This place is really beautiful and peaceful. It's a great place to come and take family or professional photos, good for toddlers to run around and even good to bring your dogs for a walk. It connects to the Cherry creek Trail too so that'd also a plus .

Took a stroll about 20 minutes from my house to the 17 Mile House and Farm. One Saturday each month, the open the property up and you can tour the house, the barn and take a trip back in time. You can make pin wheels and have a picnic lunch under one of the wind mills. The did a great job restoring the house and barn and it was such fun!!

If you like Colorado history or the story of western expansion then this is a great little place to spend and hour or two with the family. It's also a popular spot for photographers to take their clients so expect to see cameras and poses all weekend long.  Follow the trail from the farm house to a bicycle/walking path that will take you along the Cherry Creek for as far as you can imagine.  There is an on site porto-potty and dog bag station near the parking lot.

Check for the open house days and encourage you to register for any special events available. It's free and it will be a great experience for kids as well as for adults.  This place is located near trails, so you can plan for some fun activities too. Loves photography? Don't forget to take your camera while visiting this place.  Open house will give you a wonderful experience to go back to the past quickly, an opportunity for kids to see some old equipment too.

Amazing place to visit .This place will remember you about ancient time,small area but enough to show you history of past .

What an awesome piece of history, I love the layout of the farm and the nostalgia that it creates, this is like my dream home

Beautiful views outside of what you initially see. Go down the walking paths and you'll see amazing colors and foliage.
