“Orlando’s original art party” is the award-winning 1st Thursdays presented by the Associates.
ABOUT 1ST THURSDAYS
The award winning event takes place the first Thursday of each month and is presented by the Orlando Museum of Art's Associates, a volunteer support group committed to encouraging the appreciation of the visual arts and expanding Museum membership.
Every month showcases a new theme with works by local artists, live music, cash bars serving wine, beer, soft drinks and water, and café offerings from area restaurants.

GOING BAROQUE! APRIL 3, 2014
Artists create traditional and modern day interpretations using notable elements applied by the renowned artists of the Golden Age of painting in Europe (1600 – 1800). Themed genres include portraits, scenes from everyday life, landscapes, seascapes, cityscapes and still life.
INSIDE/OUT - MAY 1, 2014
An exploration of interior spaces and outdoor environments.
BEST OF THE BEST - JUNE 5, 2014
At each 1st Thursdays, a “Best of Show” work will be selected. This event is the climax of the ten “Best of Show” winners with each artist presenting new work.
