Local Artists' Art Studio and Gallery
We are a fresh new group of artists who have come together collectively to create a community gallery. We are located in historic downtown Athens. We offer wall space as well as economically priced studio spaces for local artists. We hope to partner with other community venues to showcase local arts in a variety of locations.
The 211 Cooperative was created with the intent of providing a venue for both emerging artists of high quality and unique perceptions who have not yet acquired mainstream exposure and established artists who wish to enrich the East Texas community by displaying in a local space.
Our programming seeks to increase education through workshops, outreach, exhibits, and related educational programming in order to make the creative process available to those who might not otherwise have access to it.
