"The Entertainment Authority in Las Vegas, the MGM Grand is the home to the biggest names in music and entertainment. But we're more than concerts. We also have Michelin-starred chefs' restaurants and over 171,000 square feet of casino space. With everything here, there's hardly a reason to go anywhere else in Las Vegas."

Will NEVER stay here again. Had multiple issues with our stay in September 2023. Check-in was a nightmare and took almost 2 hours to get checked in, it was now the next day then we were told, "oh by the way, there is a $400 deposit on the room" When we got to our room, we could understand the weight sensitive mini bar not even alcohol! Just snacks and water for $50 if touched We were extremely careful not to touch it! There was also a mini fridge, but don't get excited. If you even open it you are charged $50/stay. NOW I'm having to dispute them charging our credit card. They say it's for resort fees, but that's funny because that was charged on my debit card. They also had a bug infestation that was supposedly cleaned up, well it wasn't, we had some traveling critters with us when we left. Most expensive Vegas trip ever. NOT WORTH THE MONEY OR HEADACHE!!!! There are certainly lots of other hotels you may enjoy more. Best part of the hotel was its central location.
My wife and I recently had the opportunity to visit the world-famous MGM Grand in Las Vegas, and I must say, it was an experience to remember. As we walked through the grand entrance, we were immediately captivated by the sheer size and opulence of this iconic resort. The first thing that caught our attention was the impressive lobby area. The immense bronze lion statue that stands guard at the entrance sets the tone for the grandeur that awaits inside. We took some time to admire the intricate details and the sheer scale of the lobby before making our way to the casino floor. The journey to the casino floor was an adventure in itself. We strolled through a decently sized food court, which offered a variety of dining options to suit all tastes. From fast food to upscale restaurants, there was something for everyone. Upon entering the casino floor, we were greeted by the sounds of excitement and anticipation. The flashing lights, ringing slot machines, and the electric atmosphere were all around us. The casino at the MGM Grand is massive, and it felt like a city within a city. Whether you're a seasoned gambler or a casual player, there was something for everyone. The wide array of games, from slot machines to card tables, ensured that no one left disappointed. As we wandered around the casino, we also enjoyed the festive atmosphere and provided a welcome break from everyday life.
The lobby smelled like dish rags or mold, I almost didn't go any further into the casino but once we got further in the smell left is and was delighted about the place. So many different games and the shops were Vegas reasonable. Not at pick but I would go if I knew someone was staying there.
Decent rooms, good value. Checked in slightly early without a charge. The window covering operation is from 1850. Needs updated big time. Casino was nice. Everything nearby. Lots of food options. You can do a lot worse on the strip. Rooms: Outdated Nearby activities: Virtually everything is nearby. Walkability: Seems walking north everything is not far Food & drinks: Tons of choices
A few of us stopped in during their cyber attack issue, and it was a pretty big inconvenience. The ATM's were down, you couldn't cash out, and you had to wait for an attendant to come around and cash you out. We didn't stay long for this reason. Aside from this... the hotel was super clean, it smelled good, the attendants were swift with every transaction. They were also so friendly and cheerful! They were not letting the situation get the best of them. Great job during this time, MGM!! I will be back to experience the rooms and other entertainment on this particular property. They had plenty of shops, restaurants, and other small eateries and pubs! I only gave four stars because I did not check out the rooms. I will update when that time comes. Nearby activities: This property is on the strip, and close to everything. No need for transportation.
Hotel rooms are nice and non smoking. However the casino is a bit smokey from smokers. Nice pool, wish it had longer hours. I had good interactions with the desk staff, cleaning, and bag check. Be aware that many things like a fridge are extra. Rooms: The room was nice and clean, had a safe, don't touch the minibar it's all sensory. My room had a tub with shower. Nearby activities: Super close to everything in the south strip. The monorail connects into the building. However if you want a free ride you will need to cross to the west strip to mgm park or Excalibur to catch a free ride on the trams. Safety: Plenty of security. Just stay aware of your surroundings and don't get too drunk if your going to walk down the strip and walking bridges. There are some beggers out on the strip and it is a very busy tourist location. Walkability: Plenty of walking bridges and sidewalks to get between hotels on the strip. Be aware that distances are longer than they seem. Food & drinks: Great food. Everything is expensive on the strip, be prepared to by $12-$40 per person depending on what you get at the food court or the restaurants.
Did not stay at the resort this time but did stop in to gamble and take in the atmosphere while in town. Plenty of great restaurants to eat and drink at. Also connects to the monorail so a good place to catch a ride to your next destination.Location: 4/5
The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The hotel and casino appeared to be very well kept and clean. I really liked the decor and the vibe. My only complaint was that the mobile check-in was not working, and the wait to check in at the front desk was over an hour. They did offer free water, beer, and some wine for people waiting. The front desk employee was very friendly and helpful and did apologize for the long wait. Overall, it was a great stay.
This is such a tired hotel. Rooms are clean but not modern. Bed was comfortable. But a shower over a bath? The location is pretty far down the strip. But near the airport if you're looking for a quick place to get to. And the "view of the strip" we upgraded for should have a small note, "bring binoculars". Can't comment on the gambling. There were definitely quite a lot of people there. Less than I'd expect though. The only plus side was that we upgraded our room and only spent a total of $80 for a single night. Don't know if it was a special date or if Thursday is generally just cheaper.
Joined my husband for a conference being held at MGM grand. The hotel is not as “fancy” or modern as some other places on the strip but it makes up for that with incredible customer service and cleanliness. I lost my billfold in the casino, security had it and contacted me before I even realized it was missing. A pipe burst above our first room and they had us moved to a new one in under 20 minutes. Every staff member we encountered, at every level was professional, friendly, and helpful. There are a wide variety of restaurants, bars, and shows within the hotel. There is easy access to the rideshare area and the monorail. Room prices are very reasonable for the location. I would stay here again!
