This place used to have a negative stigma attached to it but it has totally improved. They've made renovations inside. They serve food which is good. The dj's spin a nice mix of old and new music. Plus good club music music...a must in this area. As far as I can tell the best day is Friday.
This place is awesome when you want to dance, drink, and commune with your people. The drinks are affordable, $5 a shot $2 chaser. All types of Black people were there, from 21 to golden years, all genders, dressed fancy, street wear and cute sweats. They played House music and I've been there for old school, new school and Carribean sets as well. We went around 9pm on Wednesday for drinks and it was great people watching, people were playing pool , watching a NBA game and dancing. I'm hard pressed to find dancing these days. We got food for the first time, shrimp and fries, it was good, but not the reason to go. More importantly it's a Black-owned neighborhood bar! Show your support!
My husband and I were just looking to have a moment away from the kids and we came here only expecting to have a quick drink. We ended up staying upward of 3 hours and wanting to stay longer but parenting calls lol. There were temperature and security checks before you entered. The venue was an open space, nothing spectacular but clean, even the bathroom. The menu was your typical bar menu.. wings, mozzarella sticks etc but was very good. The bartenders were excellent; they don't have a drink menu, you can order what you'd like. The place was surprisingly crowded for a Monday. They were having karaoke which was a lot of fun and the DJ was really dope also. If Mondays were this poppin I can only imagine what the vibes are closer to the end of the week. I'll be back to find out
The staff is very rude never experienced anything like it!! How can you say no drinks on the bar Because of covid , when there is no social distancing going on what so ever people aren't even barely wearing mask. Just bad attitude all up & through there‼ The wings are good though.
I went on a a Sunday. It was real clean and cozy. The bartender was amazing. She was very attentive and a great spirit. The food was excellent. They followed all CDC guidelines with tables, sanitizer, bathroom, etc. Habeebah was the best bartender I’ve had in a long time . Her drinks and customer service is grade A. I will come back if that energy is there all the time.
The worst place to go for a good time. Karaoke night was open mic for everybody. I only got to sing one song while regulars got up 4 and 5 times. They lied to my friend and said the kitchen was closed and continued to serve only the regulars. Don't go.
Need more than barmaid. Always a good time. Food is good.
At first I thought this was a good spot for drinks and music.... until I ended up with covid... not just me but my 3 friends I went with all positive within a couple of days of us visiting... we all work from home and decided with the break in cold weather to venture out for the night to this spot... the place was packed but it was probably from the hookah that is passed around without being cleaned or disinfected... they also do not use new hoses they reuse the same ones. The female bartender downstairs is also rude af she wouldn’t serve me my drink but as soon as I asked another woman to order for me she tended to her quickly no problem at all... if I had to guess it was probably because I was the only Hispanic female in the whole entire establishment smh...
The Goodies: It's a nice local spot set in the middle of the busy area. Easy to find. Upon entering security is mad chill and friendly. The spot was packed when we went. The DJ had the top 40 on spin. The spot has two bars and a pool table which was covered when we went. Lots of beautiful women. Thick bodies, slim bodies, dancing a little having fun. Lots more men though. The place was practically packed. The downstairs was for a maturer crows where house music played. Real spacious and another bar located. Smaller crowd. Lots of mirrors . Def the spot where you can rest your feet. The drinks was nicely priced and strong ! Bitter taste: The place was pretty average on the inside. Not much happening with decor. The outside parking was horrible. The Place was a real tight after a while. No real space to dance.. just watch ppl stand around and stare at other people. Good night for the door but yeah not much action. The female bartender came to work.. male bartender cane to socialize. Slow with the drinks.
Drama free night life. Security tight, drinks are priced right, hookah on deck, and the food tastes amazing. The music will keep you moving but if need be there is ample seating. What more could you ask for in a night out?
