7 Seas is a full line pet store located in the Hegewisch neighborhood. We offer a wide variety of animals and pet products alongside grooming and boarding facilities at competitive prices.
For over 40 years, 7 Seas has provided quality pet services to the Chicago land area. From its establishment in 1973, 7 Seas has grown from a small fish store into a full line pet store with a large variety of animals and products as well as boarding and grooming. Now serving customers from Illinois, Indiana, and more, 7 Seas continues to grow and change while still maintaining old fashioned customer service and quality animal care. Pet Information:
7 Seas carries a variety of popular animals to add to your family. Whether you're looking for something small and furry or long and scaly, you're sure to find something you'll fall in love with here.

Grooming Information:
Our grooming department features state of the art bathing and grooming facilities. We offer appointments 7 days a week. Prices vary by size of animal and hair.
Here is a list of some of our services:
Full Grooming: This requires an appointment. For dogs, this includes a bath, blow dry, hair cut/shaving (if desired), nail clipping, ear cleaning, breath freshening, and a colorful bandana and spray of perfume. Prices vary by size and amount of hair. Cats may be bathed and blow dried or bathed, blow dried, and shaved.
Walk-Ins: Nail clipping is provided on animals for and does not require an appointment. Bird beak and wing trimming are also provided for and do not require appointments.

Boarding Information:
7 Seas provides boarding for almost any animal. Dogs, cats, small animals and reptiles, birds, and more. Their is no minimum or maximum stay time.
Dogs
Our kennel holds upwards of 80 dogs. The dogs are never kept contained in cages, instead provided with a "kennel run" (average size: 8ft by 4ft) so that they have plenty of room to move around and lay down during their stay. Each dog is kept separated (unless specified) and goes into our gated play yard twice a day. Food can be provided once or twice a day (with no change of cost) as well as plenty of freshwater. 7 Seas feeds the ProPac diet, which is made on the same lines as IAMS, if your dog has a specific diet, we encourage you to bring it with during their stay, at no change of cost. Each dog will also be provided their own bowls. Dogs can also receive bedding and medicine (if necessary, as brought in by owner) at no extra cost. Some of extras (with varying costs) include Play times (15 minutes of running or fetch in the yard), Yappy Hour (A doggie yogurt treat and 2 biscuits), and much more!
Cats
We provide a spacious area for boarding cats. Each cat is provided with their own bowls and litter box. We feed IAMS cat food (or the owner may bring their own). We can also provide bedding at no extra cost. Cats may also receive medication at the owners request at no extra cost.
Other:
We also welcome other animals who need a temporary place to stay. These prices vary by animal. We ask that owners provide their own cage for that animal during its stay (unless otherwise specified). These animals will be fed according to their owners feeding habits (if possible) and be cleaned out regularly.
Staff:
7 Seas has been owned and operated since its beginning by Robert Ellman and his family. His wife, Sylvia, began the grooming business at 7 Seas. The family continues to run the store.
We currently have 3 groomers, each with their own years of experience and particular uniqueness in their grooming.
We also have 4 sales associates who currently provide customer service and animal care.
