350 Africa is building an African movement to fight climate change. Join us!
Africa will be hardest hit by the impacts of climate change. Already many Africans are fighting to survive increases in drought, floods and extreme weather caused by rising global temperatures.
Burning fossil fuels and intensive agriculture release CO2 and other Green House Gases, which the vast majority of climate scientists agree is causing global warming. We are campaigning to keep coal in the ground and for governments to choose clean solar and wind.
The African climate movement is growing fast and is made up of countless citizens taking extraordinary actions. From students to scientists, we stand together with the farmers, fishers and communities already fighting to survive climate change every day.
And we are part of a global movement whose online campaigns, grassroots organising, and mass public actions are led from the bottom up by people in 188 countries.

"We believe that an African grassroots movement can hold our leaders accountable to the realities of science and the principles of climate justice. That movement is rising from the bottom up all over the continent and is coming together to champion solutions that will ensure a better future for all."
