A group of former mainly UCT qualified chartered accountants had the vision of wanting to leave a legacy and this vision led to the formation of 4C Chartered Accountants Inc.
All the partners qualified before 1994 and have served many South African companies at the highest level. We continue to serve on Board of Directors and Audit Committees of various companies and our experience in the accounting and auditing industries exceeds 150 years.
Part of our vision is to offer a service that is cost-effective and ethical to the broader community. Our motivation for this stems from the current state of costs and ethics in the accounting and auditing profession at present.

Director Peter J Heeger is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Auditor with a Masters in Tax degree from the University of Cape Town.
Heeger is a professional member of the Tax Court at the Western Cape High Court having been appointed in March 2017 for a period of 5 years by the President.
Heeger has more than 20 years experience in Accounting Tax and Auditing and is currently a director of 4C auditing firm a 100% BBB-EE company
After a stint in the audit profession that spanned more than 12 years he entered the business world.
Initially he worked as a Financial Manager for JSE listed LA Clothing. He was then head hunted to join Telkom Limited as a senior Internal Auditor. He was based in Cape Town but often formed part of a multi disciplinary team that was based at the Telkom Head Office in Pretoria.
Heeger played an active part in the unification of SA Cricket in 1992 and served on the first executive committee.
In 1996 he was appointed the first General Manager of WP Cricket. In 2000 he was also appointed to head the ICC Cricket World Cup in Cape Town. The Sunday Times rated Cape Town the best venue in 2003.
In 2004 Heeger organized the Olympic Torch run through Cape Town on behalf of the City of Cape Town.
Later in 2004 Heeger decided to return to the accounting profession and was appointed CFO at Cape Town’s new tourism marketing agency Cape Town Routes Unlimited.
In 2006 he was headhunted to join Grand Slots as a General Manager. He spent 6 weeks in Melbourne receiving training and mentoring.
In 2008 he joined Vukani Gaming as a Consultant General Manager. He was appointed to train and mentor new General Managers. He also helped establish an empowerment business in the gaming industry in Cape Town.
Heeger assisted with the mentoring of GM designate in the Western Cape, KwaZulu Natal and the Eastern Cape provinces. All 3 trainees were successfully appointed as General Managers.
In 2013 Heeger successfully completed a course as a B-BBEE auditor through Unisa Business School. He was accredited by the Independent Regulatory Board of Auditors (IRBA) as a B-BBEE and Registered Auditor.
In 2014 Heeger was accepted to read for a Masters Degree in SA Tax at UCT. He completed the coursework in that year. He has completed his dissertation and graduated in June 2017.
In 2014 Heeger established Heeger on Tax, a boutique tax practice, servicing clients both on a corporate and individual level. Rates charged depends on the nature and complexity of the work but the goal with Heeger on Tax is to make tax accessible to the man on the street at decent charge out rates without compromising standards or the completeness of advice and services offered.
Heeger is also director of several private companies including Garden Cities NPC and Boomerang Trading 42 (Pty) Limited.
