We have paid money to Africa Adventure Travels for flight bookings. These flights were never booked. It has now been more that a month and we have still not been refunded in full even after being assured that we will be fully refunded. Also there is no way of contacting this "travel agency" as they simply ignore your correspondence. Please be very careful before deciding to deal with them. It looks a bit like a "fly by night" outfit.
This travel agent is fraudulent. Please do not use them! We have found a package for Zanzibar through Hyperli. We were told by the Owner Michele Gibson that we should pay her directly and she would book the package for us. We booked our flights and got our Passports ready and sent them through to her. As she requested. We flew in to a foreign country and didn't know that she had not payed the hotel. We tried calling her and emailing, we had no response. She eventually answered and apologized to say that it was as "unseen error" Who and What type of error puts a young couple at risk and sends them somewhere without paying or booking. We thank the hotel for catering for us and understanding. This was in March. We payed Michele in Full in January and then she ignored us and took our money! Till today - it has been over a month and she has not paid. Yet again she ignores us and doesn't respond. She banks with Standard Bank and they too haven't paid, even though they have sent through a proof of payment. This intern puts Standard bank at risk for fraud and fake POPs. Michele is a crook! and will take you for a ride PLEASE refrain form using this agent. As per the one comment below about the flight tickets, its true! We are not the first to be robbed from Africa Adventure Travels. We have notified Hyperli and other online traveling platforms about her, we have also went to travel agent companies unreported her. We Have laid a charge against this fraudulent people and will continue to spread the word on Facebook, Instagram and other social media platforms.
