Our 160 room hotel is set in the southern part of Mpumalanga, the gateway to the fascinating Kingdom of Swaziland.

Description

All rooms at the Mpumalanga Hotel Ermelo Inn are fully air-conditioned with satellite TV, coffee/tea machines and hairdryers. The Waenhuis restaurant is open 7 days a week for breakfast and dinner, and offers carvery, buffet and a la carte menus.

On the relaxation side, you can cool off in the pool or unwind in the cosy Bertie’s Bar for traditional pub enjoyment, which is the ideal way to round off the perfect day. Our conference centre has facilities for up to 250 people and the hotel is popular for weddings

Very, manual. Gates are manually operated by a guard that's probably 50m away from the actual gate. Location is struck in the middle of town with everything within walking distance, great plus!! Pool access is very inconvenient...due to 'safety' the entrances/exits in each room are locked. Very primitive bath-shower setup with basic SABC & Etv channels only, in 480p quality. Service from front desk was on point, fast, accurate and professional. Convenient for overnight stay, but not longer.
The overall stay was okay. I have a problem with the drapes leading to the balcony, they look like they have not been washed since covidRooms: 3/5

Big, clean rooms, decent food. But the service could be improved upon especially with the kitchen staff towards women. They made me feel unwelcome and at times I couldn't eat because they weren't allowing for me to pack up my food to eat when I want to, I MUST eat at their times only, and MUST sit in the restaurant, that time I'm here for work at crazy hours. Chef always had to come to the rescue. Dude at front desk is a true gem as well.
The hotel staff was very welcoming and the rooms were clean however, their staff at the restaurant were bad news. They closed the restaurant before time while guests were still eating and the manager on duty was unable to deal with the situation. Of great concern to me is that the hotel’s breakfast time on weekends is the same as weekdays times which is very unprofessional for me because you can’t expect guests to wake-up very early on weekends as if they are going to work when they are supposed to be resting. The breakfast opens at 6:30 and closes at 9:30 on weekdays and the same on weekends which doesn’t make sense . Only the chef Lunghisani who was helpful at the restaurant, the rest were useless and arrogant.
I will never come to this place. My home is better than this nonsense. How can s hotel not have DSTV Channels af this age? Rubbish. Not recommending anyone to stay hereRooms: 1/5
The service could be much better. The gate was wide open when we got there vehicle safety isn't guaranteed. The hotel also isn't welcoming. The atmosphere is dead deadRooms: 2/5
Lovely hotel for a small town, very clean, buffer breakfast is nice. We were just passing by and had breakfast but i would definitely book there for an overnight stay if i need too. Service was also good.
Staff's friendly. Food's good. The rooms are clean. This is an old style hotel, but it works. I'm impressed. Everything works as it should. In a few years they want to do some renovations to improve some aspects and modernise it a bit, but look, it's not to say it's bad. Conference room is great. It would be nice if they can have ice buckets and an ice machine.
