The first few times we got food here was awesome.fish and chips was top notch but after becoming regular customers.the service the food and everything else just degraded.not an awesome experience anymore.Akhalz time to step up again and sell the quality food that you sold in the beginning.everytime I go there now I get reminded why I stopped buying food here.NOT ON...NOT ON AT ALL

Akhals is always lekker. Their service is good and smaller kids can play on the jungle gym while you wait for your food. Or better yet, call your order in if you're in the area or get it delivered.

It was nice, the food was good, and the kids had some time to play whilst we waited for our order. They had a play area for children to release the extra energy. Kid-friendliness: They had a lovely place for children to play, swings, slides...., an area for running around and having fun Wheelchair accessibility: They had a ramp for paraplegics but no specific parking

Love the meals here.. We normally say it is fat Friday at the office where when we just want to compensate for stress level and let go. The meals are nice juicy and love it Vegetarian options: The option is limited but worth it as it is very juicy and yummy

I was told by colleagues who usually buy for us on a Friday that it moved from the shopping centre to a more comfortable spot, has benches outside and seating inside, slides for the kids, a more homely set up, so decided to visit if the quality of the food is still the same that could be expected from this particular branch. Ordered my food, got it, walked outside and on the way to the car, I was approached by an extremely friendly gentleman named Aslam. I can only assume he was the owner/co-owner. Where in jhb can one experience a fast food shop in the middle of a suburb, great food, generous portions as before and family chill spot. Mr Aslam, you and your family /partner may have just started a trend! Freaken Love it!

The food is delicious and the service I great.. There is also a a play are for kids and it it safe

The ONLY branch in the North that's as good as the Fordsburg and Mayfair variants. A wholesome meal that should be a rare treat. Order in advance as meals take a bit of time to prepare. My favourite meal there is the "Wonder Why" - an AK47 on a pizza.

I love their Chicken Roll Special, the best on the menu for me...

Learn to update your prices on the website,because niw I feel like I am being robbed after the lady gives me the total price of my order because it's so much more than the menu price, this is fraud

This place is a complete rip off. The steak supreme pizza should be called the chips supreme pizza because all it has on it is chips. Called the shop to complain and they were extremely rude and didnt care. Disgusting service! Edit: Yaasien the, the cashier that works at Akalz confronted my wife and said we should rather go to the Akalz on Church Street in Mayfair if we don't like the food. This is really disgusting service, especially for a well known and respected place. Will never eat there again and I hope that this post deters others that hope for more proper customer service and value.
