Aldam Holiday Resort & Conference Centre

Our stay was great....we have camped at Aldam a few times and we always had a great stay.last night we stayed in a chalet for the first time. It was great and the lady at reception was extremely helpful and friendly. We went to the restaurant and we were very disappointed.the atmosphere was cold and stark and we missed the warm vibe if the old restaurant. The food used to be excellent and we missed the spare Ribs and pasta. However I must compliment the staff at the restaurant,they were helpful and friendly but the food was disappointing. The fish and crumbed pork chops were out of a box and the mash out of a packet. That is not on and the chef needs to jack up his act. I can have the same food at home out of a box and not pay for it. Very disappointing.

The ladies at reception needs to get some training on how to welcome people at the resort. They are the first face you see and by all they are not very friendly. They need to be reminded that it is not there place they just work there. It's not very good for the owner. We were a party of 14 people and forsure by word of mouth we will not recommend this place to friends and family. The rest of the staff were great.

So my partner and I were staying in the lux 2 sleepers and the rest of the family was camping. At the camping ablution block, there were a whole row of men staff there apparently but with no uniform on. They were staring intently at the ladies coming in and out of the bathrooms. Our small neices were coming and going as well and they made everyone feel extremely uncomfortable. When we complained to reception, she said that they are there looking for odd jobs like washing cars etc. This is unacceptable. If that's the case, we would be happy to book something like that with reception and not have strange men staring everyone down. Put put course is extremely outdated, no shade, broken course and never enough balls and sticks for everyone. The super tube is fun but everyone got cuts from it with blood running. Needs to be fixed asap. The lux 2 bedroom was adequate, but for that price we are used to something a lot nicer. The TV channels were broken or bad quality. Barely enough crockery and cutlery. At the time we were there we stayed in unit one, and there was construction going on at unit 3. The staff building was extremely loud. Shouting at each other, playing loud music etc. On one of the days in the camp grounds, there was one staff member so drunk his buddies carried him into bushes. We complained to the manager that's always by the pool bar about that and the staff staring at woman and he thought it was funny. They were asked to move but just went and sat at the next ablution block Serious lack of management and would not come back for those prices compared to what we received . Renee at reception was extremely condescending when dealing with complains and requests with always having something to say back to try ans excuse their behaviors. Very disappointed. Aldo want to mention the very loud grass cutters that go ON ALL DAY! On a positive note, staff was great, especially Elvis at the pool bar. He was incredible.the gentleman at the put put was also very friendly and helpful. Bed in our unit was very comfortable.

Great resort. Very well managed. Enjoyed the events and programs. Double bed in one of rooms and shower would have made it perfect.Rooms: 3/5

We only stayed 1 night but I loved every minute of it. I will definitely recommend more people to stay there and I will definitely revisit againService: 5/5

The returant never had wat we ordered and the specials were always finished. They don't prepare for the amount of people that is on the campsites. Other than that the place is clean and the staff at the campsite is very friendly and helpful.Service: 1/5

Well appointed grass campsites with views over the Allemanskraal dam, electricity and clean ablution facilities. The kids loved the pool and waterslide! It is only 10 km from the N1 so it is also a good overnight stop as well.

Only went for a drink to cool down. Liked the specials in the pub. Friendly staff. No aircon or fans, fu#&in hot in the pub.

A beautiful property, situated in a very tranquil, beautiful and peaceful area. An all in one establishment, whereby you be entertained through the activities that they have on offer. The only issue is that the resort needs to be well maintained and cleaned. The restaurant offers very delicious meals and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They made the experience worthwhile. Overall it was a wonderful experience.

Loved it. It's a huge resort with lots to do. The dam was over 100 % full. Nice pub and restaurant. Sunset was spectacular. We camped.Service: 5/5
