Easy and personal, this car company is a small and lovely way to rent a car here for short or long term. I found Craig to be very friendly to work with and they feel like you're renting from a known entity, not some huge over the top expensive scene. I highly recommend!
I have been using Allen's Car Hire for about a decade and have always had amazing service from the whole team. The prices are also excellent for a wide variety of vehicles and airport collections / drop off options are also very easy. Vehicles are well maintained and in about ten years I have had one or two very minor issues with the actual vehicles which were always promptly resolved or replaced. Highly recommend and trusted by a long time user.
Highly recommend this business if you’re looking for a car rental I’ve rented from Allen’s Car Hire four times now and every single time the service has been exceptional. Extremely friendly staff across the entire team, and Craig has always gone above and beyond when I’ve been in contact about anything.
What a great place! Excellent honest service. Down to earth, no marketing BS, no gotchas, no upselling. I got exactly what I expected - a clean reliable car, and paid exactly what was advertised. In my case: Nissan Almera with 60,000 km on it, 360 rands per day 9 days. Email them to book your ride. There is a 3 day minimum, and a one-time 95 rand contract fee. Bottom line: highly recommended.
What a great team, responded at all our needs, and helped us with last minute changes and early rental returns with a smile. An example for fantastic service that the rest of the industry could learn from. Cars were clean and exactly as advertised, no surprises. Thank you Craig, Reggie and the team! Our favorite local car rental company of choice, for all our family and friends that arrive in the city for short to medium stays. Always helpful and a pleasure to hire from. A fuel station across the road, making the refuelling process a pleasure upon return. No fuss, no frills - just car hire with a smile.

Have used this company for many years, there my first choice car hire company in Cape Town area
Tried to get a quote and rental done for December 2021, no luck. Now trying to do it again for 2022, 1ste mail 5th August, 1 mail and a visit later I got the assurance of a quote this week. Let's hope so. Today, week later and still no reaction. They don't have a clue in service or communication. This is the second time, so can't say it was a one time experience. End of August finally got an answer but not one to be happy about. I know there are a lot of issues with getting cars etc. But to give an open quote is strange. Sorry guys, you go up a star for reacting and explaining but as entrepreneur you give a quote or you say you can't help. No, is as good an answer. Thanks
