They recently changed paint from Dunn Edwards to California Paints. Now to get another gallon of my paint I need to go to Phoenix. While I was there I requested a paint sample of another color and now their smallest size for samples is a quart and cost $10. Why would a sample be a quart when you are probably going to have to get multiple samples. This place is great for buying individual nuts and bolts but go somewhere else for paint.
Homco is great! They have many brands HD doesn’t have, including hilti and festool. An abundance of specialty fasteners can be found. The selection of lumber isn’t the best. Mike in paint is really helpful. As is Makita in tools. Cookies and popcorn at the door are a nice touch. However…everyone should understand that ‘most’ used tools CANNOT be returned. Even if they are a 180 money back guarantee… Associates at the register should explain that to every single person that purchases a power tool.
Been coming here nearly 10 years, before I go to the box store. Staff knows more about 2 departments than one staffer knows about 1@ the other place!! Best hardware store in town, smarter workers, WAAAAY friendly than the other guys, plus they offer coffee, cookies, and best of all- POPCORN!!! They do consulting for your home as well!!!
I like Homco because, aside from the usual hardware store stuff, they have products that are needed locally. They have a decent little RV section as well. Employees are always helpful.
Normally we LOVE this store but recently feel like they have abandoned us. We purchased a MrCool Mini Split this spring and it never worked. After several weeks and countless hours with their support department they promised us a complete replacement. Several weeks later we received only 1 of 2 components and the system still didn't / doesn't work. Fast forward several MONTHS and at least 20 hours of on hold time and being disconnected and we still can not get through to a human being! I realize HomCo didn't build the unit but we trusted in the products that they sell. I had several lengthy conversations with a Manager at HomCo and explained our situation. He called the MrCool "Rep" and after a week he has yet to get a call back. I asked HomCo to stand behind what they sold us that never worked at either refund us or get us a working unit; they refused. I'm very disappointed with HomCo in so much as we reasonably trusted in the products they sell. MrCool got our money, HomCo made their profit and we have a $1,700 unit heading for the dumpster. I'm very disappointed in HomCo's lack of backing their customer!
Needed a couple of 8mx40mm cap screws to complete assembly of kids piano which was Xmas gift. Found what I needed in the hardware drawers, which has a very good collection of screws, bolts, washers, etc.
Very surprised by the selection They got Dewalt to Hilti. Work clothing, gardening, lumber, all of it. Then some
Always a positive experience. 5 star customer service and friendly employees. Most times will even deliver your purchase. Cookies and coffee always a plus. Avoid the big box stores.
I hear good things from this store..BUT... my hubby bought a tool set and it was missing 1 piece. He went back and they told him they were going to order it and call him when is ready. It's been a month now and too many excuses. First of all the manager was on vacation and it has to go thru her. After a week they said they finally ordered it. Next week they said he had to talk to the manager but can't get a hold of her. Next few days they said the product hasn't arrive yet. We're back at the store today.... let's see if it's here. .... and nope, now they told my hubby they don't know where it is. It's funny how this is a store that has tools and they said they don't have that product in their store. Hmmm
