Aqua lounge is the newest river cruiser on the Vaal River with a capacity to take up to 50 guests. We offer extensive packages to make your Vaal River experience memorable. Our cruiser is suited for any function from a high tea to a bachelor party. We operate from the Bon Hotel in Vereeniging, situated on the banks of the Vaal with stunning scenery second to none in Gauteng. With only a 35 min drive, we are the closest river cruising operator to Johannesburg.

The drive in and drop off is absolutely beautiful, really nice for taking pictures. Temperature taking and sanitizing happens at the door of the entrance of the Riviera. We walked through the Riviera and when we got outside the view of the Vaal dam and pool and sitting areas was just beautiful. Upon arrival to the boat cruise staff we found out that because we didn't book in time we weren't going to be on the main boat which was really disappointing, that's something they should've told us when we were making the booking. We were given the safety instructions at exactly 13h00 and the boat left shortly after. I really wish we had known we could play our own music early in the boat ride cause the music that was playing was not for enjoyment. A little into the cruise we had our lunch, I had creamed spinach, beef stew, roasted chicken and green salad. Not really much to chose from but everyone had more than enough. Drinks were sold separately. For dessert I had fresh fruits whilst others had custard and little pieces of cake. The ride itself was really relaxing, a few of us felt a little sea sick at first but eventually felt better. The sites are okay, it's mostly plants and trees and people fishing and nearby apartments and what looks like a place where a matrimonial service can take place.
I made our booking a month before via email, I was assisted by such helpful staff. The day of our cruise we were greeted by such friendly staff, we enjoyed the cruise and it's worth it for the price

The boat cruise itself was amazing. Relaxed and smooth cruising, staff very pleasant, environment was great especially after recent flooding, thanks to maintenance staff for the upkeep

No private boat. Very friendly staff, sorry I canceled our cruise coz I had booked for a private boat cruise and we only discovered on arrival that they book you alone on the big house boat, not what I expected. So I canceled
Enjoyable trip on the boat cruise, relaxed atmosphere. Kids enjoyed it as well.
Staff are amazing following covid restrictions. Pricing is fair. A definite must try.
