I had a great time here, although myself and my family only went for a few hours. This place is a nice place if you are not feeling the beach for the day or the wind is bad, it has alot of benches and tables to have a splended swimming day offering a kiddies pool a adult pool and a super tube. I would recommend a warning sign to inform one that you might encounter snakes . I was told this is normal which it is but informing day visitors would let them be cautious and look out for snakes while children are playing there. Other than this i personally think this is worth it and will go there again.
There's a lot that need to be done especially the rooms Rooms: A lot need to be done with the rooms
This accomodation did not provide value for money and cannot be recommended. It boasted very basic facilities. The small room was equipped with a double bed with barely enough room to walk from the entrance door. The self catering facility consisted of a sort of shelf/kitchen on one side with microwave, small fridge and sink crammed onto it. Two cheap plastic chairs were squeezed into the remaining space. The toilet/shower room was located at the back behind a sliding door.. No hot water was available and an overflowing drain was backing up and pushing out of the shower floor outlet drain. No towel was provided. A tiny television set mounted very high up on a steel bracket did not work which was just as well because it was difficult to view up there. The woman in reception was distinctly unfriendly.
Chalets are ok...bit rustic. Camping sites and ablution blocks are very clean and look good. Very close to sea so that's a plus.
The lady I dealt with was very rude when I called in to confirm a booking I made online. She did not even let me finish asking and told me she would not be accepting any online booking. Upon further talks, she informed me that they were in fact fully booked which brought about the sense that she was saying so only because I sounded african. Very disturbing and I didn't understand why she answerd the phone in Afrikaans. Highly offensive, would not recommend this place to anyone
i loved the place and scenery, however our time spent was terrible. We had people right outside our window partying until 4am; allowing little sleep. We complained to the manager/owner who eventually came to clear the nuisance. However; once he left the people began threatening us, telling us they will stab us and slash our tyres. it was extremely upsetting and makes one feel like no safety is implemented. the next morning we found that our Tyre was indeed flat and side mirror broken by the people causing the nuisance. The manager/owner was so rude to us about it, when he had to help bring an air cylinder to pump the Tyre. He refused to grant us a refund either and did not care for our broken side mirror. please be very wary when going to this place as there is no respect for the people that pay good money to enjoy the peace and tranquility that beautiful cinsta has to offer.
Walking distance to the sea, but sheltered from most of the wind. The owner live on the premises and is a handson person, so he is available to assist with any problems that guests may encounter.
I ADVISE THAT YOU DO NOT COME TO ARENDSNES. If I could give minus one I would for my experience. Do yourself a favour and look around at other camping sights that go for simalr rates, have Amazing facilities, "enough toilets" and views, spend a little extra and go to a decent camping site. Their website is misleading. Camping stand are way too small, there is a serious issue with a lack of parking. We had to rent a room just so that we could have a decent bathroom as there is one shower each for men and women for the entire top section of the camp site. There is almost no security, anyone can walk in at any time they like, as the gate is open majority of the day and there is a large walk way next to the gate by the pool that is not secured, defeating the object of having secured gates, anyone off the street can access at anytime with ease. You don't feel safe walking around at night, especially coming from the pool side that has no lights. To add too the lack of security, when we arrived, we were advised by the owner and fellow campers that they had an incident the night before, where someone walked into the site and stole food from a few caravans and a gas braai.
Such a relaxed atmosphere and so well kept
We had a very pleasant stay at Arendsnes camping. Ablutions are always kept clean and the swimming pool was also clear blue and clean. The resort is also walking distance from the gorgeous Cinsta beach.
