We were very pleased with the caring service, professional attitude, and excellent assistance from this AVIS office.  We had reserved our 21-day rental in advance through on-line booking from Canada, picked up our car from the Riverside AVIS location, and dropped it off here - at AVIS Kruger Mpumalanga Airport after 21 days.  When dropping off the vehicle, we were met by a very helpful staff representative.  Then, we were directed to finalize the paperwork with the AVIS desk representatives who also provided us with a friendly positive attitude.  There was a minor glitch in the system, and we were reassured that our final invoice would be properly adjusted by the Manager before our credit card is billed.  The promise was delivered perfectly, we were charged EXACTLY what the rental agreement should be, we had no problems whatsoever with any discrepancies.  The credit card was billed for the correct amount, and we did not have any issues with over-charges.  Despite of negative comments left by other guests, for us personally hiring from AVIS in Nelspruit was a pleasant experience, and we can certainly recommend this company and location based on the positive outcome and attitude. My experience here is also horrible! Last time I returned a car that I collected from OR Tambo International Airport at night and when I returned it here the inspector saw a small chip under the bumper of a polo vivo, I couldn't believe the invoice of R4600. The second time I had to wait 55 minutes to get my car after I've landed

Friendly staff & great service. Just don't expect to arrive without having booked a car in advance. This is a small airport and won't necessarily have excess cars available.

THIS PLACE EMPLOYEES A THIEF. THE GUY WHO WE RETURNED THE CAR TO STOLE MY WALLET. I Left my purse in the car I know dumb for two minutes to throw out trash while he was in car and now it’s gone. It was in my purse during the drive and wasn’t there after. The manager we spoke to was nice and checked the car multiple times. But there is still a thief there. I will be escalating this to corporate. Manager told me his name was Christopher but he signed it was “char” on initial paper work. RENTERS BEWARE. Very disappointing as many locals said how safe this area was. He had the nerve to smile to my face and ask how our trip was too. Of course he was smiling he suddenly has a very nice bonus !!

This place is good, Lawrence is great!  So the car I got was great! Used it for 9 days in Kruger. I was told to make sure nothing in the car was left behind that couldnt be cleaned by a vacuum, so I took note. I noted the scratches with the employee and was on my way.  On the return, the outside employee Rodgers tried to stick me with a valet fee for "excessively dirty" when there was simply dirt on the dashboard from driving around Kruger with the windows open.  Long story short, I spoke with Lawrence in the front and he was completely understandable and had the fee dropped.  I would use them again, as long as Lawrence is there! haha.

Our agent, Freedom, was courteous, helpful and incredibly helpful. We had an easy pick up and return experience. They even switched our booked vehicle Corolla to one Avanza  that had better height clearance so we could see the animals at Kruger better.

TAKE PHOTOS BEFORE RENTAL. Oh my, awful experience. Summarized in that one sentence.  I checked in with Christopher and noted scratches and he told me "those are too small."  Flash forward, we did not damage the vehicle at all and guess what, on check out Christopher magically found the "too small" scratches he did not note at check-in. How convenient.  Do not rent here if at all possible, not worth the headache or blood pressure issues resulting from arguing at the airport when they attempt to get you to sign a damage liability form. There was no accident or damage by me, why would anyone sign that?  Hopefully Avis corporate takes note and fixes these issues but I wouldn't press my luck again.

Lovely friendly and helpful staff and the cars are conveniently right outside this beautiful airport. Will definitely use them again as their service was above and beyond.

Horrible experience. They charged me for  a boot cover that was never in the car !NEVER rent with this agency.

They don't value customers after taking money from them, if you have transaction problem that is caused by them, they don't follow up .
