The Base 4 Flight Academy has specialised in the training of professional helicopter pilots since 2004 and is the longest standing helicopter lfight school in the Western Cape. We have trained in excess of 500 students, many of whom have become succesful commercial helicopter pilots.
We train on Robinson R22’s, R44’s and Bell 206 Jet Rangers. We provide personal one-on-one training as well as interactive group classes.
We utilise grade II instructors with multiple years of operational experience ensuring that our level of expertise and experience enables you to get the highest quality of flight training.
Our helicopter charter division started off as a VIP helicopter charter service, focussed on providing executive helicopter services by making use of industry standard Bell Jetranger and 407 aircraft.
The division quickly evolved to include more industrial charter operations with a heavy focus on multi engine operations such as off shore vessel support and emergency medical services. Today, although these three types of operations continue to be our focal area, we also perform a large number of additional services namely:
