What a surprise! I was preparing myself for the bad service this branch is known for. Surprise! For the first time ever I experienced excellent customer service! The gentleman at the Info Desk was soooo energetic & friendly and he constantly kept us up to date with the progress of the queue. Getting to Customer Service I was also met with a friendly & helpful face. It's the first time that I actually felt like a valued customer at this branch.
Unorganized compared to other banks. It took me more than an hour just to open an account. I could've done it quicker by phoning their call center.
Very unhelpful or is it useless? staff. They don't follow up, and can't give answers about why it takes 3 weeks to open an account. This Branch should close, they are the reason I am taking my business elsewhere. 3 People couldn't assist or fix the issue. Standing in a queue for 2 hours also doesn't bolster confidence in staff competence.
Worst Service I have ever had. Please don't support this bank. You will regret it.
Came to open an account stood in the queue for 3 hours, when coming to collect the card the same story. Guess their moto is that people can't complain about service delivery cause there are no service delivery.
Their service is so bad. Stading in the queue outsit for an hour. When you eventually get inside the cashier has a problem when you have a seat. How do you expect us to stand and wait for hours on end???
Horrifically incompetent, likely the worst bank branch in the country. Wait for hours on end to be helped with only ONE teller available and the rest of the staff lounging around chatting and laughing. Went to fetch an ATM card only to be told that Head Office hasn't sent it yet, even though I have the confirmation SMS and E-mail on my phone for them to see. Told to "Come back when you receive the SMS" whilst I am SHOWING YOU THE MESSAGE THAT SAYS THE CARD IS READY TO COLLECT. Woefully inept and amateurish staff.
We had to wait a long que outside to gain access then wait 1hour again inside the branch just to get a card, we were told some of the teller workers are on lunch and all that, we asked for the manager and were told she is working from home. There was only one worker on the enquiry section who was working and trying to keep everything in order and checking the consultants if the working on moving the line. But otherwise it was really bad service!!!
What a pathetic place really! It is the end of the month and only 1 teller is working. I went to the branch manager and she looked at me with a long face as if it is normal - they did nothing even after went complaining! I have been a loyal customer to Standard Bank for the last 10 years - this is unacceptable! And the worst part of all of this, is that everyone can give bad reviews and complain - and still they don't give a damn! So so so pathetic!!! This place wil never ever see me again! This is pathetic Standard Bank!
Worst place to be if you have a baby they have no compassion they will take their tea breaks and dont care if it takes them 35 min + to help 1 customer. They simply leave their workstations and take their time. Been here 1hour + and i am still waiting for them to help the 5 customers that was infront of me
