The Birchwood always feels like home. The landscaping, rooms are comfy the premiums are very spacious, gardens and water features just take peaceful to another level. Their gym is good too. And it's very handy to be there while on work in jobug.Rooms: 5/5
Great conference venue, clean and green. I love the shuttles that help you walk through the hotel. It's large, huge and can take as many participants as possible. The restaurant also had good food, though mostly foreign. I would've loved tasting local cuisineRooms: 4/5
Taps are mixed up, water takes too long to get hot Walking between the buildings is tiring, rooms are terribly cold in winter. But the food is great and the staff is friendly
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Birchwood. We arrived rather early in the morning and therefore had to wait a little while for our rooms, but that's understandable. The facilities were incredibly well maintained, but some litter could be found lying around in small numbers. It is an enormous ground, so that is partially understandable, maybe not excusable. There are plenty of amenities available on the grounds, which means you don't really have to leave the facilities for your entire stay unless you need something specific. The golf carts driving around were rather reckless, though, as they came speeding through the facilities on regular occasions. My shower taps, hot and cold, were swapped around, and the water took ages to get hot, leading to excess waste. The channels on the TV leave a lot to be desired but at least there was sport available. The Wi-Fi was also sporadic at times. There were odd issues here and there that I noticed, but these were of the nature that didn't affect my stay. One thing that needs to be improved is the breakfast venue updates. I had to call reception to find out where it was taking place. Overall, I was happy with my stay! Rooms: The rooms are lovely apart from my hairdryer not working at all. A few weird touches were the lights above the bed, which were individually controlled, and had both switches on one side of the bed. The hot water took ages while the taps were swapped around, leading to some confusion. The telephone was incredibly outdated, though, and without a registry, I had to go to my colleague's room and find out on the sleeve his room room card came in what the reception's number was. There should be a directory on the phone or at least next to it. Walkability: I enjoyed walking around the facilities as things weren't too far from each other. There is a golf cart lift service, but I didn't bother waiting. Food & drinks: The breakfast was lovely! Too much choice, in fact, that I ate way too much! The Grill @ 120 and BC Café were both also awesome! I thoroughly enjoyed the eating options available.
I enjoyed my stay. Staff is really good and so helpful. The rooms is a bit old but perfect for a short stay. I do have a suggestion though, coffee is king. Maybe better coffee for the future… Overall, perfect for all the needs from private to companies. Thank you Birchwood team!
It's a beautiful place. We were using their conference facilities. The staff is friendly, helpful and efficient. Plus the location is close enough to amenities, but not affected by the hustle and bustle.Service: 4/5
I was at Birchwood Hotel for business over a 5 day stay, the service was impeccable. The staff is professional, friendly and extremely helpful. My room was super neat and the food was well prepared with fresh ingredients. I would definitely come back for a leisure stay.Rooms: 4/5
We had a great time during our 5 day stay. Rooms were clean, location has great space with beautiful scenery. It occupied comfortably many people for a conference. My only complaint is that we left two jackets in a closet when we left the hotel, and the next day we called to try a retrieve it and we never received a call back. We managed to be in contact with the front desk but we received no answer. Leaving the jackets or our personal belonging is our fault, but just wanted to arise awareness that if you leave something behind that it is very unlikely you will get it back.
The hotel is great and the food is soooooooo amazing! Staff is caring and go out their way to help! Amazing experience..... My only downfall was because the conference room is too far from reception and parking so since it was raining, I got myself and my bags so wet by the time I got to the car. The golf carts must please wait at the conference halls to make easy access especially when it rains since there is no means for us to call them from there. Thank you
Terrible experience. Dirty bathroom, toilet was disgusting, no running hot water reception said that the water will get hot after 5min. Didn't happen, after 15min of running the water, still cold, and mildew. This hotel needs an upgrade too, room was very dark and dated.Rooms: 1/5
