BoksburgLan was founded in 2017 as a venue to grow gaming in Boksburg. Our goal is to bring gaming out of bedrooms and home offices, into public venues with local meetups, events and possibly leagues.
BoksburgLan was founded in 2017 as a venue to grow gaming in Boksburg. Our goal is to bring gaming out of bedrooms and home offices, into public venues with local meetups, events and possibly leagues. With the advancement of broadband internet over the past decade, we are able to compete at home just as easily and reliably as we would at a large LAN event. A large part of what is lost when we take the meetings out of competition is the personal interaction before and after the games. Through a series of community events and locally sponsored tournaments, we aim to bring the social aspect back into the new landscape of gaming.
