This is my therapeutic spot. Just chill and observe plane taking off and landing at OR Tambo airport.. it even gets better in the evening with lights in everywhere… also they do play soccer now and then if you are a soccer fan the park gives this sense of security never felt like something will happen… kids are biking ‍ There is a different breeze as well hey cooler
Best place to view airport activity. Free entrance. Hidden gem in Banero park. The kids just love viewing the aiplains take off and land. They do taxi quite close to the vield where you view them. Can become muddy after rains.
Great to view soccer for young kids. This was a good spot to see planes, but the @acsa Airports Company of South Africa Need to trim the tree and bird hotel hazards, on the perimeter. Avoid if your plane spotters.
Been plane spotting and had a good time, perfect spot for plane spotting
The grass needs cutting, it obstructs the view of OR Tambo airport. Grass now burnt down. Trees need cutting and the grounds need scrapping. No change.
It's safe and relaxing, anice place to meet other spotters, the view across taxiway Hotel has been pretty much ruined by trees and bushes on the airport side, esp in summer, requests for them to be cut down have fallen on deaf ears. There is an eatery at the soccer club, mainly I think on the weekends doing burgers etc, no rubbish bins provided so glass and plastic litter, the municipality hasn't seen this field for about 8 years. But I still go, sometimes with a book.
Needs attention but it’s a great place to relax with the family awesome views of the plains landing and taking off great if you’re into taking photos of planes
Love this soccer club. Amazing teams. Amazing atmosphere
I don't go there for the soccer matches. It's the type of place you go to, to watch the sunset or if you want to see how beautiful an airport's lights look like at night. Highly suggested for a getaway place to clear and calm your mind.
Great place to have soccer tournaments. The place is clean, toilets were cleaned regularly and the staff was very friendly. We enjoyed the soccer tournament.
