Our first stop on our road trip and we had supper at Bordeaux restaurant. We shared the Skaapstertjies which was so juicy and tender. Then the 3 of us had Boontjie-bredie, Chicken pie and Lamb curry. Incredibly tasty and big portions were given. We went to our guest house very full but very content.Food: 5/5

Lamb Shank - Meat was very tough as if it was cooked in a pressure cooker. I wanted to enjoy a typical tender Karoo Lamb Shank almost falling off the bone. Very disappointing!Food: 2/5

Lovely little place I don't eat lamb so can't tell you how their specialty is but the other food is okay... I had a tramazini I did love the homemade sauce that came with it but the muesli meal isn't great as we expected fresh fruit and got canned fruit. The Malva is delicious. I guess if u enjoy lamb this is the place for you and vice versa

We stumbled on Bordeaux when we were on a cycle tour from Parys to Paarl after being rejected from inni Kraal as the could not cope with our e-bikes. Service was a touch slow, reasonable for the area, but friendly food was good. Nice outside courtyard good place for a stop on a road trip.

As a restaurant I found it really lovely. The staff were so friendly. Sadly the story found in the menu was in really poor taste. It depicts a terrible form of slavery in a favourable light and that just cannot be accepted. The restaurant has some really good pictures of the old town and still has the original vine that was established there in the eigtheen hundrends. The melktert was ok, but not overly exciting. There is a small play area for kids located at the back and seating is found both inside and outside. Covid protocol was observed although unlike some of the other areas we visited in the Karoo no tempratures were taken and we had to enquire for sanitiser.

Quaint local gem. The outdoor area is particularly cozy with a garden setting with stunning fairy lights in the evenings. Excellent service. Good food. Felt very secure and relaxed.

Lovely food and friendly service. True Karoo hospitality. The town and the restaurant was neet and clean. Will definitely stop there again!
