Buena Vista Social Cafe

Visited here during a simple day out with the family and was very impressed. Was welcomed with a smile and quickly seated under some shade, a welcome relief as it was quite hot that day. Drinks came quickly and I was happy to see a selection of craft beers on the menu to accompany the delicious cuisine. I ordered the nachos, with other members ordering quesadillas and a burrito respectively. Was amazed with the flavour, it was delicious with good portions of guacamole and sour cream. The burrito was also packed with goodness. A great experience, and great for family. Will definitely be back when I'm in this part of the country again.

Awesome nachos and hake, R115 and R95 respectively! I really like the portion size to price ratio. Going to go there again for their nacho special two for one on Mondays

My menu was dirty on more than ons place. We enjoyed the substantial cocktail menu... The bon bon is a nice twist on the capariña. The nachos con carne is very nice. And we enjoyed the feel of the smoking lounge even though we aren't smokers. Live music in the front room on Friday night can get loud. So consider where you choose your table. I expected a nice view... But there isn't really one other than the view from the parking lot

It is a simple winning formula... fantastic foods, themed decor, good ambiance, fantastic friendly service and very reasonably priced. Really recommend going here!!!

I had some of the best nachos I've ever had! I liked that the sour cream and guacamole weren't dumped in the middle making everything soggy. Sour cream on the side, guacamole in little dollops all around. It was really delicious. That said, I was disappointed with the sugary cocktails. I had to wonder if there was actually any alcohol in mine. It was pretty, but overpriced. They have a big smoking area, naturally. But they never close the doors to the smoking area and it badly affects the surrounding non-smoking tables. We asked to move because the smell was nauseating. Overall, food is tasty in decent portions. Stick to their beers, avoid the cocktails, and sit far away from the smoking room.

The venue is open and pleasant for a warm day. The service was a little slow and we began to wonder if the waiter had forgotten about us. This was a momentary issue though as the food was brought through and it was amazing. Unfortunately they no longer do chimichangas - my favourite but the waiter did make a plan for me. There was an assortment of beers to choose from which was perfect.

1800 Tequila is definitely Delicious!! Try it...ask the waiter they will bring the bottle from the bar. It’s an experience!!!
