Went to builders express looking for a gas light refill. At the entrance we were met by friendly security guard. We asked the staff member - manager to show us where we can find the gas refiller,  He gladly asked us to the aisle and started explaining to us in detail which gas refill works the best for our lighters. He allowed us to test it and make sure we only buy it if it’s working. He made sure we walked out with our lighters working .  He was very  patient and knowledgeable…  Great customer service

Have everything but do not try get assistance, store has more staff than patrons but no one can help. Never seen lazier people in my life. If you ask for something the will tell you the isle number but you have no chance of them waking away for the conversation they having with fellow staff. I give a 2 because the range of products is good.

2 stars for convieniance. Whist Builders does have a lot stock and have a lot of stores I was shocked recently when I compared a single worktop table leg 870mm and found that there was a R 240 difference.  A more than 2.5 times difference with Gelmar. That is a huge mark up. Value for money it's not. My advice is to do your homework first and if it's expensive it will pay you to drive further.

Always helpful especially thanks to the stuff they are friendly and willing to help you as you get by the entrance. Shout out to Lindikuhle for suggesting good product for me an excellent service.

We arrived while it was raining and urgently needed a tarpaulin for our trailer with boxes on the back.  The staff were so helpful and even assisted us putting the tarpaulin on the trailer

Small store but if you are looking for something that you do not see in the store, go to the till and if they have it they will ring it up, you pay and drive to check out and collect your purchase. The little store with a great punch.

Great service. As we entered, One of supervisors took us to the product we wanted, did a demo and off we went. Quick and easy. Really helpful.

I was surprised by how friendly and knowledgeable the staff were! Often in the bigger Builder's Warehouses there a very few staff and they are seldom knowledgeable but this store really impressed. The prices are similar to the larger Builder's stores but the selection is slightly more limited.

One of the worst Builders shopping experiences. Web and shop stock levels are always out of sync. Paint  section, colours are mixed, sign of lazy staff or no order or control. Flower section, no one to assist, busy chatting or on the phone in the corner. Bad service traits. Intrance to shop the floor needs to be repaired. Why do they use  the entrance to bring in stock? Jack yourself up Craighall as Robindale is miles ahead in everything.

Update: Another trip, another waste of time-don’t stock the basic electrical things one finds elsewhere easily. Or even the same solar sensor lights as 3 months ago.  Train more staff in general courtesy-Train them on specific specialized areas. Otherwise you just waste time and end up having to walk around longer than necessary. Some of the ladies could had a proper cleanse. The also don’t quite have the same prices. Would  go and probably would get everything in it, seemingly this looks good at the star but then it costs you cash.
