Decent Builders store that has stock of most items, The service at till points is often slow though and the parking lot is quite small so can be difficult to find a parking space when busy.
We've been hanging around by the tool section waiting for a staff member to assist us. We've even asked for someone to assist us. Only to realize that a staff meeting is happening in the garden section at 9am. People are walking around with no one to assist them.
Good store overall. But they do not offer all the products as some other branches. But the staff is friendly and check out is fast.

Every time I shop here the advertised price marked on the shelf and price charged at the till are different, and then to get it change is not worth the wasted time. Last purchase 4 out of 7 items incorrect around R200 difference.
Terrible service from a staff member at the tillpoint after an incorrectly labeled item was purchased then refunded with ATTITUDE as if it was the customers fault.........0 rating at this branch.....
Great service, I bought 30kg cement umbrella bases, they were one short for my order of seven, they asked me to wait while they quickly arranged another one. Stock is such an issue at the moment, great to see that Builders Express Pietermaritzburg has stock and have helpful staff. Well done, keep up the good work.
Went to the store in pmb to purchase an item but there was no stock however got some help from the information desk. Left my contacts details with them so they can get back to me. Let me tell you. They have the worst customer service ever. They don't call you even after calling them a few times. The customer care is just as bad because they don't get back to you to.
I always find what I am looking for and Mpume from the paint department gave me the best advice, saving me lots of time and money! She was super friendly and helpful. Even the auto guards are always super friendly and willing to lend a helping hand. This store definitely deserves 5 out of 5 stars!
