@ Cabanas in Sun City

On arrival, the lock of the door did not work. Family rooms are small and there was insufficient bedding. We had a cold shower for the first 2 days, the staff then said that we should run the water for an hour in order to get warm water. I can just imagine how much water gets wasted. The hairdryer burned out after switching it on. The only plus is that the children enjoyed the surroundings and the breakfast was good.

Awful service from my recent stay. The rooms are not up to standard. Bathroom doors were removed and lights not working. We felt so uncomfortable. It felt as if I was staying in a 2 star hotel and this was after I was moved to three separate rooms. Despite emailing my complaints and notifying them personally at reception, the hotel does nothing to really assist note: my stay was not during peak season, so I was shocked to learn that each room that I was moved to had defects. Also, the kettles and hairdryers are filthy. I will not recommend booking here until Sun City management wakes up and renovates the hotel or at least ensure customers are getting what they paid for. Thumbs down and definitely dissuading my family and friends from booking a stay here

The location is lovely, and the staff are all friendly. However, for the price you pay to be there, you would expect proper towels and a hot breakfast. The towels were hard and on one day I received one that was torn. All breakfast items besides the omelets and eggs prepared to order are ice cold. You charge these exorbitant amounts for a simple bed and breakfast purely due to it being in sun city.

The cabanas is perfect for a small family. Had an issue with our hot water in the original room we booked with a lake view, reported it and the staff changed our room same time and was very friendly, assistive and caring. We have a son with autism and he loved this place. No meltdowns no issues will definitely be back. The resort is clean with many activities for kids and the resort is constantly being cleaned by staff keeping it in perfect condition. Everything works as it is supposed too. Well done and thank you for the amazing service cabanas. The game drive was lovely along with the water sports and entertainment facilities. If you thinking of visiting here definitely come, you will enjoy it. There are activities for everybody for days here. Very impressed. You can get your laundry done here for a small fee and there is a salon and a spa 5 minutes away. The mini mall is also 5 minutes away walking distance along with a casino and food places, club etc. The staff really went above and beyond to ensure our stay is memorable and comfortable. A shout out to johannes who even borrowed us his personal adaptor as we lost ours. Thank you for the service and care. Nearby activities: There are water sports just a minutes walk away along with jungle gyms and olay areas for kids. There is quad biking for kids and they love it. There is child entertainment facilities which you book in advance to give mom and dad some time for themselves for 3 hours and they cater to your child and get extra assistance if required. My austic son had somebody watching constantly while utilizing the services and was safe. He didn't want to leave them which was surprising and showed the care and professional of the staff. Safety: Felt very safe throughout our stay. There is 24 7 security around the resort and we never felt unsafe. Walkability: Took some lovely walks around the resort as the facilities we required were a walking distance away. Some places you can shuttle too if you to tired to walk and the shuttles come every 5 10 minutes.

Rats in both our rooms. They come out of the cupboard and rummage through the dustbin and run on the counter eating through packets of snacks while we are sleeping. We wake up and they just look at us. These things are huge. Complained and this is the second night. I am so worried about my kids sleeping on the floor. This management is terrible. How can both our rooms have rats and nothing gets done. Please don't stay at Cabanas. You will wake up to rats in your room.

The room was a bit small with no microwave. Besides that everything else was perfect. Katlego from the restaurant manning the omelette station was superb she really enjoys what she does and she does it diligently so. The shuttle service was a plus since there are no restaurants near the cabanas and the fact that we get complimentary access to the valley of the waves was a plus for me. Overall it was a great experience and i would definitely be visiting again.

Put items out for pressing, was sent offsite for washing instead, after many complaints clothes only arrived back more than 24 hours later, had to wear dirty clothes to convention. Room is tiny for the price, hand towels only no proper towels. Coffee machine at water park "under mainteance", surely a replacement could be found?? Definitely not a 4star hotel experience.

We really did enjoy our stay there. The breakfast was excellent, all the staff were really friendly and ready to help. The room was neat and clean. We enjoyed the valley of the waves and also the pool at the Cabanas. We never had to wait long for the busses to take us around, but it would be so nice if the SkyTrain were still in use. I would just recommend that they put plastic chairs outside the rooms or dry racks to hang your wet towels and swimming costume on because there is no place for it in the room.

We booked for two nights. The breakfast was good. The pool bar was great, and the food was tasty. The swimming pools were clean. The room was excellent, and they kept it very clean. The staff was friendly. Lots of activities to enjoy. The quad bikes were great, and so was the game drive. The resort was bustling. The restaurant Legends was excellent, with good food and live entertainment had my birthday dinner there. You get what you pay for.

The most useless service and staff down at the Pool Bar. Terrible service, very average food and the staff just watching the clock to go home. Got our bill before the food arrived so our waiter could leave. 15min before the kicthen closes... It was so terrible, and on a busy weekend with two races, you'd think the staff would bring their A-game and make some money. Nope.
