Very cheap beers, large interior with a cozy laid back vibe, only problem was the music selection, but other than that will definately be back
I would say for the area and the vibe here is definitely good vibes. The pub is a little run down, but what do you expect as it is not always busy. Neatness and cleanliness I would say has improved since lockdown has dropped. The staff always been the friendliest and no issues ever experienced here. Would say that this is a key aspect of cheers a place where people feel at home but yet not to much to make it a place not to go to. The pub does have a slot machine area which is cool of that's your vibe.
Cheers is one of the local pub in Bothasig. I have to honestly say, used to be one of the better places to go to. I havent been back since 2 years ago just before Covid. The place at the time looked very run down. At the time it also seem so not safe anymore. Used to be a good place to visit. Security used to be all jacked up but I don't know any more. I drove pass here today. Signage is all dried out. The face of this place looks really rub down. This place was a great place to visit. Not a place I will visit soon. I think dop is still very cheap.
Much to my dismay, no one knew my name. This place isn't bad if you lower your expectations. Lower. No, lower some more. Almost there. There you go, that's low enough. This place reminds me of the areas in Gotham where even Batman is reluctant to visit but perfect for a cheap good time.

I've been banned from cheers for a number of months due to a negative review I posted on Facebook even through my review reflected nothing but the truth. It would be nice if some of the issues were addressed rather than shrugged off as the fault of the customers.
The bouncers are a major problem.Ive been a few times but they always walk around intimidating people for no reason.They push paying customers around!? I got treated as if I was doing something wrong....And I've heard a few stories of them pushing on people even females Not going back. I prefer having bouncers there for my safety rather than the ones found @ cheers.
Went to watch RWC match SA v NZ. Pity we couldn't get going. One important factor as far the sound was concerned it needed to be turned up in the No Smoking area please.
Karaoke on a wednesday is absolutely not on. The DJ is so drunk that he can't even read from the list that other people take the mic and run the show. When I confronted the bar lady she said he has a tab and can't refuse him. If anybody consumed to much alcohol they would have them removed. Therefore, I feel if the DJ shows signs of being intoxicated whether he has a tab or not he should be told that he is not going to be served anymore. Sorry that's my personnel opinion. We come there to enjoy ourselves and spend money therefore expect a fair deal if we have put our name on a list that when it's our turn its our turn not that someone else takes the mic and the DJ just accepts it.
