Christ Church Blaauwberg is a Bible-based, reformed, evangelical church in Parklands.
Christ Church Blaauwberg (CCB) was born on 23 January 2005 from St Matthews Church Table View. We are a part of the denomination known as the Church of England in South Africa and for information on our beliefs and the history of the denomination please go to www.cesa.org.za.
As a new church in the wider Blaauwberg area we prioritise the Biblical command of reaching out to the spiritually lost with the message about God’s love and forgiveness in Jesus Christ. We seek to grow people in their knowledge of Jesus Christ so that we can serve Him and others faithfully. We like to develop and direct people’s gifts and skills in a way that might maximize the effectiveness of our gospel effort in this community. We prioritise an experience of being found in community with others that have become followers of Jesus Christ. We believe that God Himself calls the church Christ’s body and refers to the church as His family and as His bride. Therefore we believe that the church is to be a respected and valued group of people within a community and that all its activities, both corporate and individual should aspire to reflect God’s character, especially in its dealings with people.
Some of the core activities are those scheduled during Sunday services for people of all ages, growth groups during the week, and a “Life Works” ministry that seeks to apply God’s word to the details of different seasons of one’s life.
In all that we do as a church we seek to serve the church and the community in a way that brings glory to God through Jesus Christ. We believe that all our efforts will only be fruitful as long as God allows them to be fruitful. Therefore we stand accountable before God to serve others with the Biblical truth about Jesus Christ, nothing more and nothing less.
