City Steam Laundry & Dry Cleaners originated in 1945, by the late Mr Govind Ranchhod and then passed onto his son Mr. Edward Ranchhod, specialising in the cleaning of both private as well as commercial/industrial garments. Today history has repeated itself and more than 60 years later the tradition continues when recently Mr. Pradeep Ranchhod has joined his father in business for further succession.
From the beginning, City Steam Laundry’s service philosophy has been embodied in the company’s mission statement: “Cleaners with a Personal Touch”, providing fresh, crisp, odourless, and lint-free garments to our customers at an affordable price.
Almost every staff member has been individually trained by a family member handing down the age old cleaning traditions as well as methodologies and are experts in the field of spot removal, pressing, machine handling, quality care, and most importantly, customer care. We offer on request same day service done on the premises for dry cleaning, laundry, and alterations. We also take care of removable carpet cleaning as well as curtains. This means that the quality of work is guaranteed.
A three year business plan has been drawn up placing us in a position to invest in the business. This business plan allows our company to upgrade new machinery bringing in new technology to the forefront keeping us a cut above the rest. Naturally, over time our premises will also receive a simple facelift.
We at City Steam Laundry are proud to mention that we have invested in new machinery allowing us to become the only Eco Friendly Laundry in town. We omitte no smoke as our machines run on a completely different platform to other laundries.
This technology allows for water saving with water that is purified and softened to laundry standards removing most unwanted chemicals. Our new industrial machines used also allow for huge savings in electricity costs.
All this allows the business the asset of having experienced professionals working with new technology that enables us to bring our valued customer, and high quality work every day. With our trained staff and strict quality control processes we strive to ensure that your clothes receive the best care and we ensure that your clothes get back to you safely.
