Coco Bango

Had a very nice and tasty meal. Fist a delicious pair of dolma, and after that a very tastefull mix of grilled meat and very delicious rice. Only thing is that for 2 large male adults the mixed grill is a bit small

It seems this once prestigious place has fallen and hit rock bottom. The staff was not very friendly and was not really attentive. The interior has deteriorated and is not cosy at all. The quality of the food was also underneath the normal standard and not adequate at all. From what we understood the owners are new and have a more “Turkish” background so not really Persian at all. We did not enjoy our evening and food to he honest.

I went to Coco Bango yesterday with a group of friends. Some cancelled after reading the one star reviews, but I've been there before so the rest of us decided to give it a chance ... And came out happy and well fed! The lady host was as nice as I remembered, very attentive and acommodating So we had fun, ate well and definitely keep it on our list. We couldn't pin, but they offer options :-

The food is good but the rest is terrible! The lady who serves the food is ridiculous! besides, she asked 3 Euro for tap water!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was my last time! Never come back again!

First of all the place is an Iranian restaurant, certainly does not sound like one! Cosy enough, we tried the grilled meat and kebap which was well cooked, however the appetizers was what stood out especially the ones with eggplant. I wish to visit again and try the stews which seem to be the x-factor of Iranian kitchen.

Had a take away because of the covid and restrictions. Worst Iranian food experience for me ever. Meat was undercooked and hard, chicken was cold and the rice was not eatable. I think that they have wormed up the food in microwave! Please save yourself this horrible experience and do NOT go to this restaurant.

Our first experience was bad! We gave the place a second chance and this time it was even worse! I had better service in the gas station loos! The lady working on 11/09/2019: 20:30-21:30 was absolutely horrible! Impolite, frustrated and ill mannered! Which is of course to be blamed on the management!

This place has excellent food. The appetizer platter should not be missed. Try the aubergine dips, especially the one with tahini. And the endless lavash bread was a nice touch. We also got a platter of kebab meat which was well-seasoned and absolutely delicious. The prices are very affordable, and the servers were very nice. This place is a must-visit if you are ever stuck in The Hague and you are craving something other than potatoes and / or fish.

The food may be ok and not too expensive, but there is an extremely rude manager who started to say impolite words to us and then threatened us to physical attack after we objected. He is an old Iranian person who does not seem to have any understanding of how customers need to be treated. Never come back again.
