Description

Copperlake Brewing Company brings a unique experience – “brew your own” and experience the unique flavours of different style craft beers from Copperlake Breweries and guest breweries. The pub attracts craft beer drinkers to enjoy tasters whilst sitting in the sun or inside the “brewery” to engage all their senses in the brew. Simple but well prepared meals fill the gap but the main experience is the beer!
The subtle German influence aims to bring heritage and unique experiences for the South African audience. A strong focus is to “brew your own” targeting groups as a special event or corporate groups as a team building concept. A master brewer will manage the demonstration station, educating and allowing the group to get involved on how beer is made.
These events will be specifically managed by an events team to create a dynamic, interactive experience allowing groups to select what they want to brew, experience, get involved and make their own brew! The extract will be fermented at the main Copperlake brewery and returned to the pub to taste and celebrate by the group 3 weeks later!

Rustic. Out of the way. Lazy, relaxed service. Very slow Craft beers. Not too bad Ok-ish pizza - if they get your order right. Good space for kids. The bathrooms are shocking. I don't think they have been cleaned - ever. There are better pub and pizza places in the area. The setting has potential.
Overall we really loved the experience at Copper Lake. I communicated with Henning over WhatsApp to organize using my Hyperli vouchers for beer tasting and pizza. He always replied quickly and was helpful. The waitress Sam, I believe? was very kind and super accommodating - she recommend we try the nachos with her special guacamole and she wasn't wrong when she said it was good! The pizzas were nice and the beer tasting tray was good - you like some more than others but that's the point of getting the sampling tray. We also loved the doggies who stay there. Found it super interesting that they grow so much of their own fresh produce in the garden and greenhouse on site. We walked around a bit and were impressed with how much variety they had in the garden. Only negatives were that the bathrooms were dirty and the floor in there was sopping wet. Would be nice to have an area separate from where smoking is permitted for non smokers to enjoy more but otherwise it was all a good experience.
It's a 0 out of 10 for me. The service is slow, dogs are jumping on the table while you eat your food. The staff were friendly but they were running around like headless chickens. Then the toilets are small no baby change room. Not clean. Torn couch in the corner.... .. Do I even need to continue? I never thought I would be the type of person to write on Google review but this was such a horrific experience I have to save anyone trying to go to this restaraunt . Stick to your Pappachinos and Blueberry Beacon.. You'll save yourself the headache
Live bands on a Sat. Country bar away from the city. Amazing craft bee and gin on tap. Had a great time. Will return for sure.
Really awesome place. Service was super amazing, Willie, Storm and Ethan were more than willing to help. So much patience and dedication to their work we had William “Willie” as our waiter/bartender/mixologist and his service was amazing. Thank you
Worse fathersday meal ever....we booked for the family, arrived @ 12 and left @ 3pm Through all of this the 2 waiters failed to deliver our drinks and never placed our meal order on the system - we left without eating Customer service does not exist, despite the owner sitting 2 tables from us If you want to go here, go for the beer....it is good and readily available on tap some of them
Food was really good, service was great. They can really just start focussing on some TLC on the venue. And ensure they have stock if they have group bookings... not nice to hear "sorry" with every 3rd thing you want to order.....
Little gem just outside of Fourways. Willie the CEO Chief Entertainment Officer is awesome and the food is amazing. Haven’t had all the beers yet but everything I’ve had is excellent. Highly recommended. Smash this place hard on all your socials
We were there on Friday 02/06/2023 it started very very good until it went Horribly wrong the one bartender with glasses that thinks his a bouncer started to get very very aggressive. I asked the other bartender if I can put my handbag and bag behind the bar and he said yes so I went I put my bag behind the bar the bartender with the glasses pushed me out and would only help the single girls and then when we left we did not know our card declined he came running and wanted to start a fight with my husband
Purchased tickets for Beat of the Brewers Vol.3, Perhaps if this event had been at a different venue, it would be different...What a horrible experience in this day and age to receive such hostile appalling treatment. The staff were racist and made no secret thereof, we felt unwelcomed from the moment we walked in, we paid for a beer tasting tray while there, turns out there were "no glasses" to accommodate "brown people" they served us 2 visibly dirty stained glasses and a filthy jug, left us seated for hours without taking or following up on our order, at this point we had to leave because we felt really uncomfortable and didn't want to impose any longer. LOL. so much for diversity and inclusion! one must wonder the country we are living in, some deeply rooted issues that is constantly brought to light when you are caught being the minority at a certain, place or event. PS. Copperlake Breweries kindly have enough balls to put down a disclaimer that states "No Non-Whites Allowed" so we can stay away and spend our money elsewhere, where it's needed and valued...Idiots!
