Croydon Bakery

Just love getting treats from this bakery. I’ll even travel 30 minutes for their milk tart, chelsea buns and steak pies. Their selection of bakes goods is great, but make sure to arrive early in the afternoon so you’re not disappointed. They’re not cheap, but they are worth the indulgence.

Croydon bakery has been in this area for year so it is an iconic bakery. The hamburger buns and hot dog rolls & bread are always fresh. Plenty of cakes, pastries & cookies to chose from.

They had the most amazing orange cake I've ever tasted! Didn't have a chance to taste the other stuff but there sure were a lot of choices.

First came to this bakery at a child when one of my mother's friends lived close by. Remembered it as having the best pies in Johannesburg. So going strong and the pies are just a good! A definite stop any time we're in the area.

The pies are out of this world so tasty and fresh. The orange cake was my favourite. Prices are sooo reasonable. Lovely tables outside to sit and enjoy your purchases. They also sell coffee! I will definitely revisit often. No wonder they've just celebrated their 42nd anniversary. They are simply the best. It's hard to find something that is not absolutely wonderful.

Top notch bakery, always available bunny chow mini loaf, and plenty of savouries and sweets to choose from. Friendly service, ample parking and award winning fresh products. One of Gautengs very best bakeries.

Read up about the history of this place. Always busy as Jimmy and George take pride in what they do. This family business is around since about the 80's. Birthday cakes are not so fancy but the best tasting cakes in Johannesburg starting from about R300. The pies and cakes are also unique and well priced.

An amazing family owned bakery in the heart of Croydon. Their red velvet cupcakes are the only one's you will ever need. A particular favourite of mine are the mini custard caramel danishes and peanut butter cupcakes!

I loved the food here, the smell of all the baked goods, really great Service... Amazing atmosphere, with someone always ready to help... The cakes You've got to taste it yourself to understand...

It's a great business. Very well supported. Good quality. A bit on the pricey side but all in all a a business with a nice variety of treats. Can get very busy daily and just needs guidance or signage for queuing as people are standing one side of the counter due to wanting something from that side where the other side seems to be the starting point to get anyone's attention. Once you get it though, you are ate sorted.
