Usually i do not write reviews but this one is needed. A total waste of time. Not worth this one star at all. Don't be fooled by all that advertising rather keep and invest your money somewhere else. Complete time waste they definitely not interested in teaching you and notice how all these pictures are old and outdated, I promise you it's for a reason clear as day light .
I studied here a while back and I just thought I would write this review because I am still angry about this place years later. Do not study at this campus, they are absolutely useless. Their 'certifications' can be obtained by yourself for far cheaper if you just look for them online and obtain the study materials. The teachers are not experts in their fields my teacher was a former student at this campus and knew nothing about actually working in the industry. The study materials were cheap ring bound books that were very poorly put together. Furthermore, instead of preparing you for the certification exams, they make you cheat on them by providing you with the questions beforehand. When I refused to cheat, I was reprimanded by the invigilator. She had instructed me not to submit my test after I was done because they had been contacted by Adobe about how quickly everyone from the campus was submitting their tests. The test should take hours to complete but everyone on campus was cheating and submitted their tests within 20 minutes. Adobe became rightly suspicious and contacted CTU, after which the campus head and our instructors tried to force us to wait an hour and a half before submitting our tests. Let me tell you something, a certification means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING on your CV if you can't actually demonstrate that you have the skills required to EARN that certification. The network on campus often did not work Ironic, considering they offer IT services and networking and my computer became riddled with viruses after I attended a LAN event for students. I genuinely wasted a year and paid them a ridiculous fee to do it. Do not study here, you will regret it.
If you are reading the reviews on CTU and think its just happening at one campus let me tell you that its not just happening at one campus but all of them STAY AWAY!!! You'll get a better education from a government college than you'd get from this institution.
STAY AWAY!!! They ask so much money and what you get is not even worth 10% of that. They brag about how they have been open 30+ years and have qualified registered teachers. The only thing they are good at is marketinggetting you to join they have only survived 30 years because of that rather do the Uni 3 year course its a little harder but what you get is way better for the same price. The only 5 star review here is left by their own staff!!! Not even the teachers there would give 2 stars if they would review that place.
CTU Stellenbosch campus is not bad, I have great facilitators my program is online and the staff is friendly and nice. I encountered no problem whatsoever.
It's always a pleasure walking into the Campus, the Staff always greet you with a smile. CTU Stellenbosch is very Professional in what they do. I Know some of the reviews may not correspond with mine,but that's fine, yes they are expensive and the wifi isn't at it’s best,but that can be overlooked by the effort they put in elsewhere just to better your personal experience as a student and making it easier for you to learn a new skill and I think that is incomparable. No good! If you are thinking of doing a course here I will tell you this: Go and waste your time somewhere else. The teachers doesn't help you if you ask them to. The year costs you R45000+ and you don't even get to use the WiFi on campus. The study material they work with is out dated and most of the time unreliable. And don't let them get into your head because they will try and convince you that a year with them are better than a degree at Stellenbosch University.
My daugter made a honest mistake by paying a heap of money meant for a different intitution [not CTU] into the CTU account as she had them as a benificiary - 6 weeks later and no answer on when she will get her hard earned money back Absolutely shocking !!!!
