These people are so amazing! I have taken 2 of my special needs children, one on the spectrum, and one with debilitating anxiety and the patience and grace with which they were handled was absolutely fantastic, even during an emergency squeeze-in! My kids refuse to go anywhere else.
This teams just wins on all fronts in this delightful practice, just 3 minutes from where I live. Everything is 5-star about it: the beautiful flower beds outside the offices, the cheerful young staff, Dr Kroukamp himself is a skilled dentist who has worked for a decade or more in the UK and come back to SA to share his experience. He had me so relaxed in his dental chair I nearly fell asleep. The best yet is Courtenay, the oral hygienist. What a very clever young and patient lady. I wasn’t even seated before I was warning her about my sensitive gums but she took everything calmly in her stride … ‘trial and error’ she cheerfully called it. Well, let me tell you, there was no error on her part at all and she shared some brilliant tips with me: ‘Bleeding is healing’ she advised me, if flossing causes it - don’t stress. It’s the body’s way of saying ‘thank you’. I was impressed at her power of narrative and making the world of oral hygiene fascinating and interesting. For sensitive teeth, get into the habit of smearing a little Elmex or Sensodyne on your teeth - just like you would hand lotion when your hands are dry. No need for scrubbing of the teeth. The cleaning was bad, my wife had glue or something stuck to her teeth, her gums bled and was later bruised. In addition, the clinic later charged for treatments that we assumed would be covered by the medical aid. Scale and polish is traditionally without cost and fully covered by the medical aid. The onus rests on the medical aid to inform the patient of costs before treating them.
What a good experience! I've had a very bad experience with a dentist in the past, so I approached my appointment with so much fear today. I prepared for the worst. I thought I wanted a tooth extraction, the doctor took me through the pros and cons, did a couple of xrays and explained in detail what he thought was best. He ended up cleaning and installing a filling. All of this was painless, my tooth was cleaned thoroughly and every step was explained in great detail. I am so happy and cannot wait for my final filling to be installed. Great work, booking the appointment was also quite easy, I made a call and I was booked in the next day. I would recommend them to anyone, I already have.
I was so nervous yesterday going to them but I did not feel a thing. I was so happy after I left and Dr gave a whole new meaning to my fear of dental being done. Staff is also very friendly and they make you feel very comfortable. Thank you

Would not recommend for dental work. After calling to confirm with the secretary that my medical aid is accepted at the practice twice I made an appointment and was later sent the bill. Now normally this would not frustrate a person, but I have worked as a medical receptionist at a doctors practice and I know how easy it is to process a medical aid claim and who to contact if it is rejected - rather than being lazy and just passing on the responsibility. 0/10 experience.
I went there for a cleaning and the Oral Hygienist was very gentle and she made me comfortable. I would definitely recommend her. It was my first going there and l managed to fill all the forms online, which is really way better than having to do it manually at the practice. Thank you for this, it saves a lot of time.
I went there on Thursday and as most of us are aware the dentist is not a place we look forward to. Having said that I was pleasantly surprised by how professional and pleasant they were. The work I had done was extensive but I can honestly say I never experienced any pain or discomfort. Will recommend all my friends to them. Thank you for your excellent service.
Highly recommended. And this is from a fussy person. Everyone was so professional, friendly and genuinely helpful. I like how one can depend on Dr Kroukamps experience & sound judgement instead of being pushed to xray everything. This kept my costs minimal and I seriously appreciate. Thank you for yesterday.
