It all started when I decided to give my youngest son Michael a fab 4th birthday party. When we celebrated his 1st B/day we had no idea he was deaf. yes, deaf! the poor guy cried most of the time. he had cochlear implants just before his 2nd b day so no party was held. at his 3rd b day we were away at a school learning and teaching him to speak. so the 4th HAD to be the best. we bought him a case combine for his b day and I wanted the cake to be the combine to harvest the maize... so I looked everywhere to try and find out how to make maize out of fondant. then I found my new dear friend, laura from Laura lee's yummies... she showed me how to make the maize and from there on I was hooked!!! I cannot get enough of making goodies... I know I still have a lot to learn but i'm enjoying every second of it. i've definitely found my purpose in life.....
