Best Springbok pie ever. Nice coffee shop with warm atmosphere. Also bought some lovely lamb thereFood: 5/5
This little gem in the Kalahari is worth a visit. Situated right across the road from the last filling station before the Kgalagadi Transfontier Park, it is a super place to have a home made Springbok pie and a coffee while your vehicle is being refuelled. For those who are not keen on eating game, there are several good alternatives on the menu. There are interesting souveniers for sale, an immaculate restroom and an information centre right next door. The place is obviously popular with passers-through. At lunch time on a Friday afternoon in June 2022 when we passed through, it was a hive of activity.
Best coffee milkshakes and is well known for its great lemon meringue and milk tarts. Really worth a visit if you are hungry or thirsty. Also licensed to sell alcohol of which we did not make use.
Small restaurant in Askham with light menu. Was National Milktart Day today. Paired that with a good milkshake. Nice outside patio under the shade of the trees. Some items to purchase with Kalahari facial products and coffee, amongst others.
Think we were there on a not so good day. The cake and dessert menu should be separate to food... that gets 5 starsFood: 3/5
This is a very cute tea shop at Askham. Food and cake to die for and a ice cold milkshake on a hot day will get you through.
Lovely place!!! Great food, friendly people, nice atmosphere. I could spend the whole day knthat stoep! Will definitely recommend and visit again.
Absolute horrendous racially prejudice attitude from the owner / hostess! We're a small group, all non-white ladies doing our 67minutes in Askham and decided to come for lunch... Surely left a bitter taste in our mouths. Not impressed at all!!!
Awesome fresh food and excellent service in the sweltering Kalahari
Such a quaint little coffee shop! Very friendly people and simple but great food. Lovely view of the bush with neat gardens. The best Kalahari cappuccino’s I’ve had. A must stop when passing through Askham.
