Die Skietwinkel

Have never been at a shop where the staff make you feel as if you are stupid. Was rude and annoyed when answering any questions. Will never go back, not even if something was a super special price, would rather go to Hinterland, where staff is super helpful and friendly! And this is not the first time that I have experienced this at Die Skietwinkel. So I have given them the benefit of the doubt.

Got the best of service from this shop. can go back again and again and again. Have recommended friends. Keep what you do the best.

Very unfriendly staff. Very bad experience to be honest. I don’t like giving bad reviews but people need to know that this shop in not the place to go. The only reason i would go back is because of the shooting tunnel. Please do something about the staff.

I'm currently in the process of getting a weapon competency certificate. Its been incredibly frustrating doing this course through the Skietwinkel. I am beyond fed up with this place and their borderline rude and unhelpful personnel. First they provide me with conflicting information regarding the order in which I'm allowed to write my exams. Then they talk down to me like I'm some ignorant moegoe for believing the information that one of their own representatives provided me. Every single time I've phoned them for exam results they struggle to find my exams before proceeding to make an excuse after previously promising that I would have my results by a certain time. At the time of writing, I have now been waiting for 5 days for a 25 mark exam that could easily be marked by anyone in less than 2 minutes. I cannot see myself doing business with them in future...

I like to buy there. Not the cheapest gun shop. Oom Leroy is probably my main reason for going there. He always helps, gives good advice and even makes time to have some small talk about little things and joke around, that makes it worth my while. Everyone has a bad day from time to time, but he is always friendly. I made a decision long ago, that I will only talk and deal with him when I go there. In addition and best of all, he his honest about products which will make me go back and spend money on honest business.

Very unfriendly staff. They make you feel they are doing you a favour by serving you. I stay less than 1km away from Die Skietwinkel and will drive all the way to Gerrie Coetzee Weapons at Senwes which is 10km away.

Great service! The reviews saying the service is poor are imo probably just written by whiny, gun-haters who want to stop people from finding their love for firearms. Give Die Skietwinkel a visit!

Good stock availability, but expensive. Staff is not friendly and customer orientated at all. I only go there if I have to. On a positive side they have two underground shooting ranges 100 and 200m which is really nice and located close to town, very convenient.

I make a point of avoiding this business. Staff is not friendly and you almost want to offer an apology: “Sorry to bother you!” upon arrival. They have the stock, skills and geographical position but staff rudeness and arrogance is their culture. What a pity! I think they can, with very little effort and training become the best in Bloem. Also, note that this business does not reply to google reviews, which in itself should be a concern.
