Good dentist - just watch out for the bill! I went there today for a check up for myself and my 2 kids. Dr Fuller has a good manner and appears to be a very competent dentist. What bothered me was the bill - R7042. I get that dentists are expensive. But when I took a look at the bill, there were several areas where we could have saved. Fissure seal R1254. This is an optional thing to do. Not discussed with me beforehand. I just feel like I wasn't consulted about this and I feel kinda screwed. I was expecting more like R4000 to R4500 and this was almost double that. I feel that when the bill is going to be that high, the dentist should at least give you the option of not taking the nice to haves and warn you of the cost! When I spoke to Dr Fuller about it he said that medical aid will cover most of it. I am on a basic plan which I don't think will cover it.
