Dr Jonathan Miller

Called in late in the day when one of my teeth broke. He managed to fit me in the very next day and on my schedule. He fixed the tooth very nicely and set me on a treatment plan for other tooth problems that I'd acquired throughout the pandemic. His receptionist is lovely! She's so friendly and accommodating, she also confirms your appointment the day before maybe you're like me and quite forgetful, so this is very helpful. Dr Miller and his assistant, Agnes, are also wonderful. They are very understanding of anxious patients, they explain everything as they go through and they are willing to speak about preventative measures. Dr Miller also identified an issue I've have my whole life and didn't know there was a name for, which has been beyond helpful in improving my functionality and mental wellbeing. If you're an anxious and I mean literally diagnosed with anxiety or similar patient and you've been avoiding dental visits, I can recommend Dr Miller. He helped me get through injections and he spends a lot of time making sure your teeth are well corrected, comfortable and healthy. He's a very conscientious and attentive dentist and he patiently helped me with all my anxieties and sensory issues.

Dr Miller is friendly and has nice bedside manner. I was, however, disappointed with the service. He charged me R650 for a clean. Normally I go to a dental hygienist, who does a much more thorough job than he did - and charges less. I also got the sense that he was trying to upsell me, which I hate when I visit dentists. My recommendation is that if you're looking for just a clean, you seek out a dental hygienist. If I was rating the overall experience, I'd add a third star because I think his receptionist is very good.

New to Dr Miller and I have found him to be friendly to the extent that he makes you feel comfortable and at home before he starts with anything serious. The last thing on my mind was that he is chasing money as is the case with so many of the other dentists. He is kind and compassionate and knows a lot about everything. I will most certainly visit him again and I do recommend him and will so to my family and friends.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank you for the extensive work that you have conducted on Bella’s teeth over the last five weeks. Your empathy on each occasion with the inevitable discomfort that a child would be feeling was exemplary. You put her at ease and explained what you were doing at each stage in order to relax her. Clearly you achieved your goal because she came back each week willingly. Your techniques in dealing with children are to be congratulated. I think I was in more pain just watching than Bella in receiving. You even took the time to blow up glove balloons and make faces on them for her to take home for herself and her brother. You certainly went the extra mile. Thank you.

The other reviews describing greed, contempt and incompetence, are, in my experience, accurate. They fail, however, to mention the extreme pain, poor hygiene, tardiness and disregard i experienced as well, repeatedly. Plus failed procedures. Would not recommend even to my worst enemy.

I have an extreme phobia for dentists and Dr Miller has made me feel the most comfortable. I even had a slight episode, and he was able to calm me down in the chair.

Dr Miller is a really great and caring doctor, I really am glad to have been assisted by him at a time when I could not find a dentist at the last minute with unimaginable pain. I am definitely going back for my next and next check up!!

I went for a clean, paid over R1000 for a job that wasn't thorough. He cut my mouth, sprayed water everywhere and when I asked him if he was going to floss my teeth he said “how? You have braces”. I left feeling like I need to go for another cleaning somewhere else. They should get an oral hygienist.

Hes one of the Kindest Dentist i have ever met Just visited him today for the first time...he provided me with an amazing services and hes so friendly and can go extra miles in helping even if you're new and dont have enough....really appreciated his services.

I was happy with my treatment. The service was very professional but also friendly which helped. I would recommend him.
