Dr Marinus is strange, but wonderful. After being in a accident that really messed up my spine dr marinus sorted it out. I go every six months for 2 appointments a week apart and then I am relieved from pain and discomfort for at least 6 months!
My husband went to Dr Lionel Marinus with severe pain in the shoulder rotator cuff area. After 3 appointments within 10 days the pain became even worse each time. With no prescription meds & the advice to regularly exercise the area to prevent frozen shoulder. After many sleepless nights of sweating from severe pain and taking otc pain killers, muscle relaxants, anti inflammatories, transact pads, deep freeze, voltarin gels and Ice packs to no avail. We called Dr Marinus offices to cancel his next appointment as it was getting worse & in desperation for a referral to a specialist whom could give a cortizone / voltarin injection. His receptionist said she would get back to us but did not even bother to! Without further delay we found a sports physician at the centre for sports medicine in Rosebank whom after thorough examination and x-rays finally gave him a proper medical diagnosis and administered the above mentioned injection to ease the pain and inflammation. He confirmed it was not a frozen shoulder and said that whomever was your Chiropractor was actually causing more damage and pain in the long run! Enough said, but I certainly would not recommend Dr Lionel Marinus having my husband go through that agonising experience!
