Some of the Dr's are great! Cardiac Ward and Nurses ...Great! Thank you! ICU...Great but can improve! Surgical Ward....Not so Great! BUT the older nurses are much more caring and professional! Overall Great!! Thank you to all the Drs, Matrons, Head Nurse, Nurses, Staff and cleaners, even Security guard. All of your work is much appreciated!
Great service with patients! The nurses are super kind and always make sure you are doing well. The facilities are also very high quality and comfortable.
Went to get vaccinated here and the lovely pharmacist directed me to the exact location. Just some tips for when acquiring your vaccine: 1. Stay hydrated 2. Bring a snack 3. Bring a spirit of patience 4. Prepare to queue for +2 hrs People were queueing like crazy for the vaccines. They have large posters with information on AstraZeneca and Sinopharm vaccines outside. The only part that was stressful about the procedure was queueing for eons. Aside from this, the jab is quick and painful. Staff are polite, helpful and do their berry best to make you feel at ease. There was an emergency vehicle stationed as well.

I have a premature baby girl at LPP HOSPITAL, the experience has been nothing but amazing and comforting. Battling with a baby that small in NICU is not easy but the staff is exceptionally great. They are honest and considerate, I have not felt like I ask too many questions. They attend to my needs when I come for visits e.g. tea, water etc. I’m grateful for everyone. Hopefully I can take Mukaraseua home when the time is right.
I would never recommend this so called health institution to anyone. I brought my one year old there and they could not accept the same insurance that they offer their employees, called the blue diamond from NHP. How can 1 work at a institution and can't even afford to bring your children there when sick. The doctors and nurses are unfriendly, communication is very bad . They did not even give her oxygen ,with in the 30 minutes of our arrival. While it was plain to see that my baby had a breathing problem, when we got there .When I resorted to pay out of pocket ,they came up with a Ridiculous amount ,not even stating every procedure and how much each cost. Which I was not a surprised ! Because of the demeanor and attitude ,they really wanted us to be out of there.Helping people is not their main priority. They act like they're doing you a favor. Infact it's a no for me ! Its like a green Apple on the outside, while rotten in the inside.
The staff here by lady pohamba are such sweethearts, very caring individuals, super attentive, kind etc Couldn't ask for better
Apart from the receptionist at the check in point with an attitude, the nurses and doctors from the Cardiac ICU unit saved my life Friday 22/10/2021. The nurses are friendly, caring and full of love. The nurses, cleaners and all staffs at the surgical 1 gave the best service! Best hospital in Namibia if not in Africa!
Facilities are state of the art, but patient care is significantly lacking. The waiting room itself is small and there seems to be no urgency to triage patients unless you arrive in an ambulance. I came to the ER with an ankle injury. While sitting in the waiting room, I was asked to hop to the front desk to sign a paper instead of someone bringing it to me. I was then asked to hop down two hallways to get to the triage room and a bed, without anyone offering assistance or a wheelchair. The doctor never took the compression wrap off my ankle to physically inspect my injury which is medical care 101. I was never offered ice, a pain reliever, or any sort of treatment for my injury. No one even asked what my pain score was again, medical care 101 or how it felt. The whole visit was simply about quickly diagnosing and getting rid of me. I was eventually told I had a ligament sprain and the doctor wanted to put me in a moon boot, but did not explain it would be an additional $N2000 out of pocket, which was more than twice the cost of the visit itself. It felt very much like a money-making scheme with the associated orthopedic who provides the boots. Only later did I realize the boot was optional. Honestly, I would be scared to return to Lady Pohamba with a true emergency or life threatening situation. This experience was eye opening, and it's sad to know Lady Pohamba is the best hospital in the country. Please take the time to train your staff properly and understand what patient care truly means!
Cannot recommend this hospital. Went in for a day procedure and they didn't even give me my own room, after the operation I was left to sleep but could barely because of noise from the nurse's station and loud chatter around. Nurses don't know what they're doing and are highly incompetent. Do not go to this hospital!
