Du Plessis Grant Dr

I had my second Laminectomy with Dr Du Plessis in February 2023. He is highly effecient, professional and communicates brilliantly. All interactions are timeous and he visits patients at 7am religiously every morning. Wendy and Erna are incredibly friendly and empathetic. The physiotherapists are amazing and understand your situation like experts. Muneera was fantastic and made the experience pleasant and easy to understand. Thank you very much Dr Du Plessis and all support staff.

He performed a laminectomy on me and I can recommend him any day. A capable doctor that does his job with passion and a smile.

Having some trouble with my back and my right leg - old age shrinking - and not prepared to live for the rest of my life on painkillers, my GP and I were looking for a good neuro surgeon... Up came Dr du Plessis... And it's right...he is the doctor you want when you are in trouble... Coming with my x-rays to him, getting sent off for a MRI scan, only to be back next day and going with him through the results... asking the right questions, expecting honest answers he was going with me through my back and explaining everything we saw on the screen and showing me where is the problem... He explained what he can do for me - it's called Laminectomy -, how it's done, how long it will take for the Op and afterwards for the recovery... He answered patiently all my questions... I couldn't go immediately because we had booked an overseas trip and when I returned I found out he had a hip replacement... After his recovery it was my time.. Having an operation Wednesday afternoon, taking the Thursday to wake up properly, the physio took me for my first little walk on Friday morning... The Op went very well, the pain wasn't too bad, the physio came twice a day to show me what I must do and how. I got discharged on Sunday to recover at home and make space for the next patient... Despite the fact that I prefer a medi-clinic to other hospitals, the atmosphere is just more personal, I only can recommend Dr du Plessis highly... Not only as a neuro surgeon also as a human being... I have to be back in four weeks time for aftercare....

Brilliant brilliant doctor and every more special receptionist! Doctors who actually care, after been left by my surgeon , this is a life saver ! He cares!
