I loved the dinner and breakfast. I loved Launia. Dawn was really nice. The property is very beautiful. You can go on little walks. The area is quaint. The room is very quiet and the view is nice. Perfect for a solo writer’s trip. I highly recommend it!Rooms: 5/5
I booked on the website for early November and then cancelled. I am still waiting for my refund. I did call and email more than once.

The river does flood at times but the venue is great, the manager and staff are lovely and they have a chapple and conference Centre for smaller events. Lovely and peaceful and the prices are quite competitive.Rooms: 5/5
We managed to get a last minute booking there as everywhere else everything was fully booked. The place is Covid compliant. Arrived quite late and the receptionist was very accommodating when we arrived. The county house is positioned in a beautiful area with a river flowing at the rear of the property. The breakfasts were good and the staff quite friendly. The only disappointment is that the place is lacking maintenance,because it's really a good venue
Fantastic service, beautiful setting and delicious food. My event was wonderful and made easy with the staff's helpful, friendly manner. Made use of the entire venue and Anrike was most accommodating. The rooms were beautiful, clean and had all the amenities you could need. All 24 of us from a toddler to a 70 year old an amazing time event and overnight stay. Highly recommended. 2021.11.18 Used Duck's again for a memorial service. Once again the setting, service and food was outstanding. Thank you!
Wonderful ambience and great tasting food. The outdoor seating is lovely and spacious and the garden makes for a wonderland experience. One feels like you could spend hours sitting out here listening to the birds and the water fountain, feeling all your troubles melt away. You feel like you're being transported to another place and time. Absolutely lovely.
Really enjoyed our stay. Service was very good, our room was wonderful and the food was astounding welcome platter, dinner and breakfast. Ducks is amazingly beautiful and for the few hours we spent there, it felt like a green paradise oasis.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ducks Country House. Ester was most accommodating and made us feel right at home. The room was very comfortable and spacious and the food was all excellent. The country house is so charming and set on such a beautiful property with scenic views of the river. We can't wait to stay longer next time.
Lovely location, friendly staff, comfortable log cabin accomodation. Dinners & breakfasts were tasty, with generous servings. A few small oversights were quickly addressed, and our special requests were easily accommodated. In all, a place that we, who like variety and different experiences, would come back to again.....
