DUT!!!! I will write from a post graduate student point of view, the good and bad. Good 1. You are properly welcomed and assisted from the entrance if you are new and do not know your way around. 2. You get financial aid as long as you complete your studies within the stipulated period of time. 3. The environment was clean or neat at least for the few times I visited. Better than some other institutions that know nothing about neatness. 4. More financial support. 5. Librarians were very helpful both online and physically. 6. Offer good quality education and the institution keeps growing. Bad 1. You will get the most help in general only when you go on campus physically. 2. Your emails are ignored 70% of the time, hence no 1. This is my honest review and It is a 4 star. Cheers and I wish you the best starting and finishing your studies at DUT!

Well to start with I do believe that the university it's self is a good one but it is filled with corruption it is about who you know inside, they do not respond to emails, calls, late applications, I had 32 points but they didn't give me a space even tho I had an offer, and they also shouldn't advertise late applications if they are not going to respond to them wasting students money about 470 Rands, I believe that they can change this to make their institution better

I had the outside glimpse. Situated in a busy road, with ranks, shops, parking etc.

As a DUT student I would advice grade 12 to apply to the university. It has been everything to me. I am grateful, and to all student studying there we are within reach of all our dreams.

Very busy. Confusing with al the building going on

Durban University of Technology Ndumiso campus in Pietermaritzburg. Interesting engineering designs and creative engineering works. This is home to the school of engineering and other allied biological sciences.

One of the better well managed Tertiary institutions in terms of quality and content of syllabus. Has all relevant ratings from the dept of higher education and the various recognised bodies associated with quality education. From time to time disagreements between students and management that becomes ugly with certain amount of disruption and destruction law enforcement is called in and this may lead to temporarily closing of the institution.

Visited DUT nursery near bottom of Steve Biko Rd, spoke with Andile about plants for sale, very reasonable prices and big indigenous selection. We'll worth a visit Mon - Fri, 8-3

Great student services,staff is efficient and friendly. Going back to continue my studies has been the best decision ive made this year

Any prospective parents/students, DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN TO THIS UNIVERSITY. It's basically run by the EFF organisation. We don't have lectures on campus because of them being too lazy to learn properly so they protest for nothing. They purposely plant thugs in the university who obviously never pass anything to cause as much havoc as possible. The university admin is absolute shambles and don't know what they doing. Keep in mind that you have to pay them R2k a year to do admin work which they don't do properly. Most of the university admin cannot handle what they doing and have offed themselves or have been offed by EFF members. The university security are also afraid of the EFF members which is not very funny because what is the point of them then.
