However, nowadays, we recognize that chiropractic treatment is effective not only with back pain / back injuries but with other conditions too, such as baby colic, arthritis, and much more.
I am a passionate chiropractic doctor that has been in practice for 17 years. I am an internationally certified chiropractic sports physician via obtaining my ICCSP qualification. I am a member of the chiropractic association and Chirosport South Africa. I have lectured at University of Johannesburg for six years and was extensively involved in supervising Masters research. I have also worked in the ergonomics environment. Doing ergonomic surveys/lectures at companies such as Standard Bank and SASOL.
I trained under Dr Brian Nook one of the best known sports doctors worldwide and have a passionate interest in sports medicine. I am actively involved in doing volunteer work for various sporting bodies. I am the official medical officer for the GARMIN professional mountain Bike team.

Dr Birdsey uses the footleveler system. It is an internationally accredited system based on scientific research that aims to balance the body by restoring the arches of the feet. Dr Birdsey has a 3D scanner which he uses to scan feet and treat the arch collapse problem with the use of foot inserts.
