This store is massive and spacious.  They stock most brand names. Great variety on mens, ladies, girls and boys.  Sport and swim wear. Also shoes and accessories.  I was disappointed with their jewelry range tha diminished drastically.

I am a loyal customer with all my family for more than 25 years , I even worked at Edcon Group so many years back. I am still loyal and attached so I wish to see Edgars as it used to be- the superior and prestigious store with unique exclusive competitive advantages and privileges.  After RCS bought out Edgars there were many changes resulted in lowering the service standard and professionalism level. Previously the staff members were so professional, friendly and willing but after the changes which included staffing, I noticed and experienced the change so some of the staff are not as professional and willing including some in management. Some Customer privileges and benefits were stopped including the alterations which used to be offered free of charge. Also the prestigious dedicated service given by highly knowledgeable staff just disappeared. That unique traditional warmth, high prestige and customer orientation I used to find at all Edgars stores, NO MORE.  Now it became about just doing a job and when it is 15 minutes before closing time no one is willing to assist and they suddenly change their attitude and just so rushing to close!  Today I took my family for shopping and at 6:50 pm when we were almost finished one of the staff approached us and said it is 7 now and the store is closed, I looked at my watch and it was 6:50 so I said I am sorry my watch is 10 minutes slow maybe because I did not wear it for a long time but she said no sir it is now 7 and the tills are closing and we must come to the till to pay, then my wife said no hold on it is 6:50 and I checked  on my two cellphone and by then it was reading 6:52. I got shocked and expressed how I felt saying this is so rude and inappropriate. She still was arguing and saying we must come to the till. I said ok we understand and will just finalise our purchases and come before 7.  This very disrespectful, unprofessional and irritating behaviour continued and the last few minutes were just so annoying and made us so uncomfortable as different staff members were approaching us individually and continuously telling us that the store is closing and we must just make our way to the till. And every time I had to request kindly for few seconds more as we were within our time. It was obvious that because I was the last customer they were so impatient and they just wanted to close as early as possible. When I was at the till I was expressing how disappointed and shocked I was of this behaviour but the staff member at the counter was showing very bad attitude and ignored me completely. I requested a gentle man who appeared to be either a supervisor or the store manager himself  to speak to the store manager but he completely ignored me. I had to be persistent then he answered so abruptly that he is busy helping me! I replied that this is so unprofessional to ignore the customer and be so rude and unfriendly.

The store is amazing with a wide variety of clothing. You can get lost in the shop.

Great prices and goods during Black Friday weekend this year.

Variety is the spice of life and Edgar's east point has nailed their offering. From kids clothing to ladies and gentlemen casual and formal. Their beauty offering, makeup and perfumes is my main reason I go there

My word. What an unfortunate incident today. Rude and unproffesional employee at this store. Today a lady customer were called 'too thick' in public by one of the Edgars employees whilst the Edgar's employee were holding the clothes/nderwear in the air telling the young lady the size wont fit. And that she is too thick. Clearly embarrased the lady tried to keep it toned down but the employee embarrassed her even more. The poor woman burst into tears and left.  Not okay for an employee treating clients in such a way and that in front of other people right there.  Dont recommend this store at all.

I have been buying my sleepwear at Edgars for years now as they have a wide variety of sleepwear to choose from as well as their prices are not bad as well ... Thanks Edgars!

What a cheek! A very pleasant young man approached me with an I pad asking if I was interested in various Insurances and I explained to him that I was not interested as I already have Insurance policies in place.  Little did I know that he loaded these Insurances onto my account and I was shocked to find a R306.95 debit on my Edgars account.  And furthermore, what a mission to cancel these policies. I think it is a real cheek to have done this in the first place when I specifically declined his offer and not  sign anything or even receive any confirmation of taking out these policies.  Bad service - sorry!
