It was my first time that I went there and what a pleasure. Very helpful and friendly. I can recommend Edgemead Trailer Hire to anybody who needs to rent a trailer. I hired a trailer twice in a week. When I hired the trailer on a Saturday morning. I phoned in later to say that I won't be able to to return the trailer in time. I told the guy that I will park the trailer in a safe place and return it the Sunday morning. No problem and I got my deposit back.
Everything was good until I realised my indicators are the wrong way around, so if I indicated left with the bakkie the trailer showed I was going right. This was super dangerous and I only realised this when I was half way to Gaansbaai. I told the person at the shop and he didn’t seem phased by it.
Best trailer hire experience one can have. Very reasonably deposit request. Would recommend them everytime.
I have hired their trailers on a good number of occassions in the last 6 years and have never had any problems. Twice when I phoned to advise I was running late, someone waited admittedly it was about 20 mins each time. That is what I call service.
Good service easy in, hook up and go. Drop off needs to be when they are open, it would be great to get a lock so you can drop it over after hours and lock it to the others when finished. Will def use them again going forward. Thank you.
Called early in November to book a Spit Braai as I have in the past, and was told I can call at the end of the month to book/pay deposit. Only to call today and be told that they have sold their spit braais, and now I am left in a lurch, As Xmas lunch this was all planned months ago, and everywhere else I call they are booked out. I'm all for supporting local business but you will get no more support/reference from me!
I booked a trailer from this place for first thing Saturday. I get there and the trailer hasn't been returned. Eventually it arrives. The next day Sunday I am in church and hoping to deliver after as I don't have a tow bar. They try to phone me as they actually close 9am. I ask the guy if there is anything we can do. Can I bring it tomorrow first thing and he says they will charge me a full day even though it will not be rented out that day. I ask if he can help me out as I need my deposit he says, you should of read the 'rules' I told him he didn't inform me of the rules and he replies " you didn't ask" can you believe they just hire trailers not informing customers of the rules and because we need to ask. Then he puts the phone down on me. Do you not use them again, sounds like a scam to me.
Always get great and friendly service.
Friendly and accommodating, with a good selection of trailers. We needed a 3 meter trailer at very short notice on a Friday , and voila, Edgemead trailer hire sorted us out. We could not return it in time, and they went out of our way to be accommodating and nice about it. I will suggest them for trailer hire that is safe and maintained and understated these days.
