What an incredible place. We had the 7 course tasting menu with the wine flight. Every course was amazing. They change the menu every month, my favourite on this menu was the Plaice with scraps. Steve is so passionate about his customers having a great experience, it was lovely for him to come and have a chat with all the customers. Will definitely be going again
We decided to treat ourselves for our anniversary and what a special night it was. We arrived to find a happy anniversary card from Steve and everyone at Eileen's. The food was exquisite, with each plate beautifully presented and tasting absolutely amazing. It was really difficult to pick any favourites as they were all standout dishes. It is clear to see that they put in a lot of care into what they make. It is a small intimate restaurant which made it even more special. We are definitely planning to visit again.
A MUST!!!! Former Master Chef finalist serves seasonal food at a reasonable price. Wine pairing is available on the 5 or 7 course taster menu. Mid week availability easier than at weekends and parking available to the rear.
Recently visited for the first time. Wonderful attentive service. Gorgeous flavours. Relaxing atmosphere. The best meal I’ve enjoyed for years. Thank you, I guess this means we’ll be returning!!!
We had the privilege of being invited to a dear friends birthday celebration at Eileen’s. Having never experienced Michelin Star dining before we were intrigued to know if it warranted the hype and the price tag? We were not disappointed! Lovely intimate premises. Staff are friendly, attentive but not overbearing. Food and drinks were simply stunning!!!!!! We had the 7 course tasting menu with accompanying wines. First class! Had an espresso martini on arrival that was amazing. Not cheap but it’s fine dining at its best and IMO worth every penny!
We visited with some friends on a Saturday evening and had the seven course tasting menu with the wine pairings, and an extra bottle of wine for good measure! We'd waited about three months to get into the restaurant so were very excited to be wined and dined by Steve and his team and it was certainly worth the wait! The food was incredible and was certainly of Michelin star quality, and each course got better and better throughout the evening. The charming, attentive staff were also superb and made us feel very special. We will certainly be back again in the not too distant future. Thanks to Steve and his excellent team!
Food was good, but not exceptional. We were in the lower/back part of the restaurant which lacked ambiance. Have to say the service was just a bit lacking - we were there to celebrate a birthday, there was a card on the table but not a mention from any of the waiters. There was no intro to the restaurant the chef/the name etc. The overview of dishes was just a recite of the menu which you could hear on repeat as all tables were served at a similar time but there was little knowledge of any dishes. It just fell short unfortunately
Absolutely incredible experience, 7 courses of some of the best food you are likely to eat! The waiting staff were lovely and very attentive and I really enjoyed the chef's explaining each meal as it comes out, an evening you'll be sure to remember!
I booked this well in advance on the back of a number of great write ups and I'm glad I did. My husband and I had a very special evening. The tasting menu was amazing and the wine pairing while 7 glasses not for the faint hearted was absolutely perfect. Small restaurant so very intimate, hidden away in Ampthill. I thought it was good value for the quality.
We had a wonderful evening at Eileen's. Booked months ago, but well worth the wait. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and have obviously been well trained. The 7 course meal was a delight and I'm glad we changed from our initial 5 course option, as the hake was my favourite! The 3 hours plus we spent in Eileen's just flew by. Looking forward to our next visit.
