On a very busy night, I asked attendant to put in R120, on 14th June at 18h20ish and unfortunately I never requested a cash slip. Whilst driving, I realise that he had not put that amount of petrol in my car's tank. This is theft, and I am disgusted !!!
I really feel bad leaving this review, i usually buy petrol for both my car and the generator for my business almost every other day for the past 3 years. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. But on the 24th of January 2023 i had a very unpleasant experience with a gentlemen by the name Jabulani. I went a bit late to buy bread only to find the bread stand completely empty. Bought 2 items, approached the counter and asked him if the bread was finished or its been removed just out of curiosity. Just like that he took offence claiming i was accusing him of hiding the bread. I tried to reason with him by explaining to him that i can never accuse him personally as i dont know him. I was merely asking him Jabulani as an ambassador of the company but everything went downhill from there. Never felt so belittled in my life. I'm sure this is not the service he gives to every customer or perhaps he was having a bad day. Whatever the case might be, i was very hurt. If he ever get a chance to see this review please let him know that as a customer i just wanted to be informed. I walked away not knowing the reason why the shelf was empty: 1. It could be that everybody buys bread from Engen garage for the same reason i was there, the spaza shops were open at the time but i told my girlfriend lets buy from the garage instead cos the bread is always fresher there. 2. Maybe the bread truck didnt show up or you just dont sell gluteen products on Tuesday. I guess will never know.
This garage is awful! I went into the ATM inside to withdraw money & I didn’t get my money. The owner Jo said the ATM does that sometimes but why wouldn’t she let people know that before they use the atm?? She said should get my money back in 24hours I never got the money and the owner isn’t helpful All she does is sit in front of the store in her pajamas sometimes & smoke I definitely wouldn’t recommend this branch

This is my go to space when I need to chill or just reflect. The coffee is great and I always have the same item on the menu. The Breakfast in Pita is a winner. Good food and great value. Consistently good. I also recommend the forecourt for your fuel needs. The forecourt staff are very competent and well-trained. All in all I highly recommend this Filling Station and Convenience Store. It must be the best in the Engen group.
Had a very bad experience today and will not go back there ever again, was shouted at by a very rude petrol attendant with a very bad attitude after he attended to a car that just came in immediately after the car being attended moved, yet I was infront of the car being attended to waiting for the car to get out so I can be attended to , waiting for more that 7 minutes already for a petrol pump to clear up.I asked for the manager or the owner and was told they are not there. The supervisor watched and did nothing whilst this happened but agreed it was wrong when I spoke to him. He told me that the attendants name was Goodwill, not sure if this is true, but very rude attendant who is clearly very miserable with very bad customer service.
Excellent!!!! I would like to take this opportunity and thank all the staff at Engen Iris Motors. iI would especially like to express my gratitude to a staff member by the name of Forward for going out of his way to assist me with a serious mechanical problem. Thank you so much Forward for actually solving the problem although I had to tow it in, Forward recognized the fault and sorted it out. Engen Iris, NO 1!!!!!!
Gas cylinder supposed to be 9Kg, it's shows on the cylinder that free-Wt is 11.6 so with 9Kg should be 20.6. it's was 19Kg? Underfilled gas cylinder is a scam and whether or not Engen Iris is aware of that, it's your duty to ensure that customer will get what was paid for, no less. I recommend Shell when it comes to gas replacement as weight is always guaranteed I did 3 with Enegn only one was short by 0.5Kg, while 6 with Shell the worst was 0.2kg short. No brainy. Spoken to staff like speaking Chinese to a Russian.
Grew up going to this petrol station since a young boy. One of the cleanest in the city. Food + magazine shelves are always stocked well, and they even have a great range of Cuban cigars kept in humidor. Service is friendly, portable credit card machines usually function well, and petrol pumps+tyre inflators are in pristine condition. Next step is to get a mini Woolworths inside!
Recently purchased a gas Afrox gas cylinder.On the cylinder it's clearly stated that "only AFROX is permitted to fill the cylinder" Another point to note is that seal on the cylinder does not match the brand AFROX. It says sealed for your protection LP Gas. Doubt if there is an entity called LP gas.
